- we unlocked the salt water mutation and it's awesome. we had so much fun at the south beach sanctuary. even if it's sad that dibbles aren't on deino's diet by now. I was wondering that we were the only deino there tho oO

The devs added dibble to deino diet today!
Also dibble and tenos can now hit trees and knock foods off them. As well as open coconuts ^_^

It might be a bit cheesey but i found out that you can spawn on at swamp, drown respawn to get perfect diet. Then get the saltwater mutation, which you have to drink 3 full bellys of saltwater to get (dont pick your first mutation until after doing this) and if you leave the swamp with a full stomach you can swim all the way to the dibble beach before you starve. I had 15-20% hunger left when I got there.
good tactic. even if I don't like to feed myself with a body of my life before, but, that's just me. honestly, I totally underestimated the way around the coast. so, to fill up the belly is for sure the best you can do before you start this journey
@@da.mombie Yeah I don't always do that. I actually got lucky and found a dead bigger juvie deino for my S in the swamp. I also found out that utahs are really strong now with their current pounce. I was 800kg and died from a single Adult pounce. It took all my stam, put me in orange health and I bled out less than a minute after. I basically made it to the beach and immediately died xD.
@@splunky5156 the stam is a real problem on land. it goes down so fast when they pounce you and also by using alt attack. I was lucky to be at about 2 tons already, yet, if the other pack members would have joined, then I would have been in trouble there but yeah, 800kg down to orange with once pounce is brutal
Where is that dibble zone?

@@da.mombie I just had a bad stretch the last time I played the Isle, where I hardly managed to grow beyond the baby stage, because I got constantly eaten by fully grown dinos or randomly killed by herbivores because I happened to pass by xD It's why I havent't played the game for a couple of months. There's only so much time in the day and it was stressing me out so I stopped playing. But I'm having a lot of fun with the horde testing. There's lots of baby eating too, but I find it easier to evade XD

The wavebreak used to be one of my favorite hangout spots for playing bepi and now this mutation has turned it into a croc infested death trap. XD
death trap? I don't know. this area should suit beipi. you can see them from outside the water and you can use the sandbanks to escape. should be fun playing beipi there. thx, I will give it a try the next time I play this littel cutie
@@da.mombie More further up the river than right next to the beach. But yeah I recommend bepi. It cruises with the hydrodynamic mutation. You can get some good air breaching with it. i hope it doesn't get nerfed to bad when they rebalance the mutations.

I love that finally the Deinosuchus can even live in salty environments😍😍😍 ah it's to tell you a curiosity in real life the Deinosuchus had a tolerance for salt water like the saltwater crocodile🐊🐊🐊but above all I love every moment you went hunting ah especially when you reduced the diabloceratops population🥩🥩🥩

yeah, they already spoke about it some months ago. but, I didn't knew it's already in the game. some of my community told me that it's hidden and have to be "unlocked"

Also I think I came across what might be a glitch with this mutation. If you acquire the mutation while you have vomit sickness and continue to drink saltwater with it the sickness won't go away. I also didn't have any nutrients so that may have played a part in it. I'm not sure how diet effects the sickness.
sounds like a bug with a similar trigger to me. I waited almost an hour and it wasn't gone. has to be a bug
I’d love to see more playable sea creatures
yes and no. in general I would love the likes of mosa and so on. on the other hand, the map is already empty at many parts with land dinos only. so, if you want to make aqua life interesting as well, then you have to raise the player slots to 400-500 at least. just look at PoT. I played two sea dinos and didn't meet much players in the ocean itself. every sea creature in PoT migrates to the rivers and lakes, because it is that boring in the ocean with almost no players. the sea is also much bigger as the land, so, it's even more tough to properly fill it with life

When it comes to Diet Lists... the more I think about them.... I come to think that for Deino they make actually no sense.
Crocodile have one of the best digestive systems. At least I see no reason why dibble should not be on the menu.
yeah, it's really weird. specially deino's diet was always strange. thinking back of unreachable turtles and goats on spiro

Especially since they made the Dibble coastal and now gave the Deino salt water ability. Of course the Deino would predate the dibble. Heck, they may change it just for population control to cull the Dibble swarm!

thx mate ♥ that's the sanctuary beach. kind of a hotspot right now. that's why there are many dinos at the moment. it's southwest, you can see the coordinates in the top right corner at 4:24

i was just watching this video and i realized there are mutations that can be unlocked? I tought the only muts were the free ones, thats why suddenly i got a mut called smth like trauma that u cant die bc of bleed when u lay down
I tried that unable to die to bleed mutation as galli. the mutation worked well, my tactic didn't
yeah, I think there are even more hidden ones in the game. I read a dev comment which refused to give hints and said it would take out the fun of discovering them. which I kind of agree with honestly, I have a hidden one in mind which could be there, but, I don't want to discover it at all
Hidden muts is so cool- Probably one of my new favourite mechanics in game, will have so much fun while discovering it!

Why spare the big dibbles you grabbed? The dibble a 9:00 would’ve done you really good for diet with their organs
my belly was quite full and so most of it would have been wasted. that's not my style. that said, stupid me forgot that rotten meant gives nutrients. someone mentioned it in the comments and with that in mind, it would have made sense to kill it

@@Azuria969 it's the ocean. it has a pretty clear view so far. yeah, I have some troubles (water pump) with my PC recently. so, I had to mess with the settings. will be fixed next week

You're better than me. Overpopulation of dibble, plus I need a perfect diet to grow a dino that takes a long time = many dibble carcasses with the organs gone. Since organs give you like 10x more diet, maybe 2 of the bigger ones. I wouldn't care if it was 30 of the smaller ones, lol. I do not kill babies ever unless I'm starving. However, it's open season on dibbles. They are completely overpopulated and need some population control. 50% or higher of the ones you saw won't make it to adulthood anyway, with everyone hunting them. Once the population drops, I'll quit, but I don't like playing when there's 50 of anything that's the same on a server of 140. Not just dibble.
Anyway, nice video, and that does seem to make deino fun to play with. I really thought you were going to die fighting that large dibble. I guess they're even strong in the water.
yeah, many people just discover dibble. so, it feels bad to me me to kill plenty of them just to get diet. one or two, yeah, but 10 or so? nope, that's not me
still, that doesn't mean I am better. just my way they do a lot of damage, even in water, but, they are very slow swimmer

this may be because you play the "normal" evrima game. Mombie plays on the Hordetest-Beta-Version. There all the new stuff is gonna be tested and they want to see if there are problems or bugs before the normal Update will be released.

pretty likely. as far as I know you get more mutations from start on, if you get nested. so, I guess you will get their mutations and can chose your own. didn't get an egg so far tho
Why you don't used the bucking when the onmi was poucing you?
deino has quiet some blood and so I was more in worry about stam than blood. I was pretty sure more omnis will follow at this point. that's why I wanted to go to the rock/wall at first. well, turned out quite differently

in this mutation it means +15% swim speed.

I would love to do this but I have no idea how to get to dibble beach or where it is
I would recommend you to play ptera first. start at the dam nearby the swamp. that's where you will start as deino too if you get your mutation there. then fly to the "southwest" and just keep following the coastline until you are there. it's a pretty long trip tho. so, don't expect the beach sanctuary right after the first corner. I mean, don't lose patience too quick. just follow that coast. once you found it, you can fly back and look for the most short way. because there are some bays which are faster to cross than to follow the coast. also, fill your belly at max before you start. you saw that I almost died because of hunger XD

people telling me this since I did my first videos. but I don't know. I enjoy my way of playing and to me that's all that matters to me. having fun and enjoying myself. that said, I don't expect others to play my way. the opposite. I very much welcome that people play differently. I love that you never know what will happen or how certain players react. if all would play the same way (no matter if hardcore or friendly), then I wouldn't have as many hours in the game. I would have bored me long time ago

How much time you wait to get mutation with salt water?
it was quite a while (an hour) when I tried it, but, I don't know if I did it right. because I wanted to wait until I "heal" of the salt water "sickness". I don't think you have to. I think you only have to drink a certain amount. which would make it much faster to get

What happened if you eat something thats not on your diet?
you get food, but no nutrients. if you have no nutrients at all, then you have a bad diet and get brutal penalties. like -75% growth, -25% biteforce, health regeneration and so on. you really want to have at least one of the three nutrients of your diet

did you play on the horde test? because EU1 & 2 from the horde test are mostly busy there. BUT, they added swamp as new migration zone for dibble. you might have been unlucky and got there when the zone was in the swamp. did it show you a migration zone there?

honestly, I was surprised to survive that long there. I was expecting many deinos and therefore also cannis. that said, it got me pretty "far" northwest of the sanctuary. I swam up there to heal properly and in peace over night. so, at this point, I didn't expect another deino at all
what did u do to get the swim speed?
2nd mutation. the first you get at the start, 2nd at about 33% growth and the 3rd with 100% growth

@@EvilNecroid oh, that's what you mean! sry, didn't get it before. no, this is one of many mutations which are available from start on. in fact, I only know the salt water mutation which is hidden and has to be unlocked. there might be more tho, can't say for sure but, there are a lot of different ones from start on for every dino.
you have to do mutations for every dino separately? so if you unlock 3 but die you have to reunlock them?
@@Azuria969 they aren't locked. the only one which you have to "unlock" is the salt water mutation.
you can choose 3 of them while you grow and yes, if you die they are gone. if you get an egg, then you get even more mutations and later on we will die of a natural death and if you manage to die this way (and don't get killed before), you also get some extra mutations for your next life.
but, as soon as you get killed, they are gone. which will hurt a lot if you have a maxed out mutation dino

Sucks dibble isn't on the diet, but I'm sure it will get added. I'm so glad you tried this out cause I don't want to deal with horde test right now and you went to exactly where I was interested in trying it out too! You have to cross the water so often in that migration zone so it just seemed perfect for a saltwater croc. Something I don't understand is why you lose O2 as a deino when another deino grabs you 🤔 I guess cause you're supposedly in a panic? But still it doesn't make much sense to me.
someone told me they added dibble to diet today the queue got smaller tho. mostly about 15-30 people at the moment. yeah, this place is awesome, but, it won't keep like this, I guess. either too many deinos or the herbs will be more careful. uhm I didn't even notice that. @@kiernanscanlon8965 dibble was a lot in the highlands recently. yet, the migrations zones have to be further adapted. somehow they don't work properly at all. yesterday it was 4 hours in the swamp for stego ^^

I saw a ptera video meanwhile where they also vomited and just kept drinking until it was unlocked.
