beautiful buildings-im glad they are kept-in Australia, they knock them dowm and put horrible ones--many of the English inspired ones, have been knocked down-OH THE MEMORIES,OF PUBS,BANDS AND GUINESS
I agree we do still have amazing old houses here in the uk and I think it's time for me to stop going to pubs and gigs and get my home in order, thank you, Mel xx
I agree with you about Manchester I live in Birmingham but Daughter went to Manchester Met and I visited her a lot you have lots of lovely older buildings and a fabulous art gallery etc. I recognised some of your journey as daughter lived close to fallowfield/Withington. I think gone with the wind must've had a re-release during the 70s as I remember watching it with my mum in a cinema in Scotland when we were on holiday.
Ahhh I used to go to the Scala as a kid. Me and my mates when we were about 10. No parents! Used to get a 10p mix up from the sweet shop on the way. White mice, fruit salads and maybe a packet of tooty fruitys. Ahhh happy days x
I always wanted to live in Appleby Lodge....service charges there were astronomical when I looked into it. Enjoyed following you on your journey along Wilmslow Rd. I lived in Goulden Rd (between Palatine and Burton Roads) in West Disdbury in the mid 90s...happy times!
Yes happy times the service charges bit us bad and we had to sell up and leave. I believe they were the best times there we were lucky and can't imagine what the charges are now as a listed building. I know Goulden well as I had friends that lived in the flats late 80's early 90's during the halcyon hacienda days. I'm going to be visiting alot of old haunts so join me there and thank you xx
Typical Brit weather. I can take the mick, i'm from London where it don't get much better. Well, maybes a tad. It's Sunday arvo for me n i'm enjoying the Sunday drive. I hadn't forgotten Toni, she's sweet as, minding her own in the back. ✌🏼🌻

Memories I miss the smaller cinemas they were so cool and on your doorstep. Thank you for sharing and keep watching more to come.
