- Snatched from his mom at a young age, kept in a small wooden box, trafficked, sold, abused, treated with violence - all this to boost a man’s tiktok page!
A few days in the care of our team and you can actually see the difference in his features and the relaxation in his eyes. He will remain in quarantine under our care until he gets to the sanctuary in South Africa.
This baby lion cub was rescued on 8 March 2024 after videos of him being abused where shared on a TikTok page. The man then claimed he lost the lion cub causing panic in the area and he was later found by people who treated him terribly. Our team immediately drove to the area to pick him up from the police station where he was handed.
He has been under Animals Lebanon care since then and with advice from wildlife experts has been properly cared for providing food, nutrients, and enrichment.
𝐆𝐎𝐎𝐃 𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒 - all his paperwork have been completed and now awaiting his travel preparation to be finalized so he can go to the Drakenstein sanctuary in South Africa where he can live the life he deserves.

Some service dogs are treated, "trained" like that bad human does for the lion cub in Finland where I live. No creature should be treated badly! And lions are very special animals.

He’s going to a sanctuary usually there are people there to take care of them. When he was removed from his Pride by whoever brought him here, they ruined his chances of ever returning to the wild.

@@hamrajabaiti9359i tell you living in the wild is very rough.. no compassion for any living.. I’d say the baby cub is in good hands and he will live great a life forever not having to worry about getting attacked by other predators and food will always be there for the rest of his life.
