There's no outstanding legal issues. They were checking if they could use some likenesses of some cars with their lawyers. If there's an issue they just make the cars generic and it's all good.

It'd be an amazing game in VR. With this channel as it's soundtrack you'd be thrown into a new realm where you can drift down the highway endlessly with a feeling of euphoria and nostalgia of memories that never were. City never sleeps, music never stops.
It's similar to how sometimes the hubcap on a car appears to be turning the wrong way or the blades on a helicopter seem to suddenly reverse and go the other way. It's our eyes' FPS limit, basically, being hit. Where we see the object seem to move in the wrong direction, but in reality we're seeing it a bit further "back" on the next rotation/revolution as to where we saw it on the prior one, so it appears to be reversing.
This song contains a mystical part that starts at 4:55. It's almost as if it's supposed to be the next song in the album and everything before was merely a preamble. But then it's cut off and I am kept longing to hear the rest of the story. With that synth + choir combo.
This looks like if Square actually decided to do a retro throw back revival of Rad Racer. Can that please happen? The music is excellent too. I must say, I love this whole synthwave thing.
Me too! I always loved trance music but I thought it was lacking something, now with newretrowave and many amazing songs like this I can navigate through endless waves! This is a kind of meditation of its own.

You do know he just has to change the cars to not reference movie cars and that takes away all legal issues. It's not that big of a problem.
