Very cool mini-documentary. This whole area was my playground as a child in the mid 60s. I lived just on the other side of the creek and went to the school to the right of the mission , adjacent to the 5 fwy.
I attended the Mission School from kindergarten through 8th grade. Participated in many Swallows Day celebrations. My grandparents were married there in the 1930’s. Wonderful memories 🥰🥰
Henry Dana hired a horse and a friend and he rode to the mission for lunch when he was working on a sailing ship on the coast of California in the 1820s
Another fantastic photo presentation.. Amazing..

Nice history lesson, thank you! My family moved to SJC in 1965 and some of us still live there!

😂 "is that Mark Parker there?" Lol ...
That's so funny! We love Mark...and Popcorn R.I.P.
Thanks for sharing this.
Thanks, Duncan. I remember making a model of the mission in 4th grade; adobe bricks and all. :)
Newly relocated to SJC. Every 4th grader in Ca. needs to see this.....
