Amazing. This is what I envisioned when I learned about the concept of megabase in Factorio, I wanted to create pretty much this, very neat and organized base, with walled sections. But because my brain is tiny I cant. But I still try after hundreds of hours!

A decent sized base but not too big to manage that made an interesting video which wasn't unbearably long and was fun to build. However, voices such as yours have made me realise that this won't cut the mustard, beautiful and cool isn't enough. I need to up my game. It is coming.

I've really enjoyed watching your videos and I've noticed that you follow a similar schema across all of the playthroughs you've done, and the end result is always meticulously well organized and aesthetically pleasing.

For the outposts I have a set of blueprints that I made in the first vanilla timelapse that I still use. They aren't perfect. They need some work. You aren't the first to ask. In saying that, I needed a mod to make the timelapse so no timelapse video is ever truly 100% vanilla. I don't think it's as stupid as you think, I had to watch the video back to remind myself!! The answer is water barrels. These two small blocks (th-cam.com/video/y0MZzUxnnTY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=wz68yB3GR6lQizS3&t=233) feed the entire factory with all the water it needs. Every process that needs water gets it from these barrels. I have a whole video on barrels (th-cam.com/video/5eFVsBc0HKk/w-d-xo.html) if you are interested.
@@theorclord The barrels in this factory probably couldn't, this factory was the first time I had tried barrelling water for nuclear power. But give it a couple years and we get to my racetrack II and this one worked fine, eventually. Its just a case of getting the numbers right. My uni lecturer used to say that a big thing is really just the same as a small thing, the numbers just have slightly different orders of magnitude. If you can design a small thing, and you know how to scale it, then you should be able to design a big thing.

Zero mods whatsoever is zero mods. I know I'm picking hairs because I have used other mods as well and this kind a confuses the issue but lets just say that I wanted to make a 100% vanilla timelapse, would someone come along and complain because I had installed a mod. Probably. So for me the issue kind of ends there. Vanilla is whatever I consider it to be, it is whatever you consider it to be and there isn't any reason why we both can't be right.
Hello, how did you conceive, or realise your type of game with wall and how to separate thing, im still learning how to well play to Factorio but im intrigued how some player made their production base... Thnak for any advices
I spent a long time trying to run my little dude through the factories I had built but because they are always so crammed together it was always a nightmare. So one day I decided to make specific paths with walls through my factories so that everything was nicely separated and I really liked it. They become more elaborate every time I build a new factory

No, its legit. I think I was using an AAI miner to cut down trees, its nearly two years ago now. Regarding the tech, just because you haven't unlocked it doesn't mean you can't build it. I layout my factories way before I've unlocked the individual techs I'm building. Blue chips is generally one of the first things that gets built but it could be 50 hours before I actually turn the assembly machines on. I just route everything to it as if it was unlocked.
I have given up a few times trying to build a mega base. It could be because I leave biters on and messed around with a Mod that makes biters tougher. But its becoming a Grind for me. I am not sure but I have seen your tuber use some sort of remote access to get stuff being stored. Not logistics robots. It seems they can use Map view to refill their inventory wen they click on a chest. i end up running backwards and forwards at the default slow speed to get again 10 inserters only to have to do it again and again and again for whatever item I need. I like the game but its very grinding and then add to that just as you thought you good Biters attack and take out half your power production. My opinion you cant build a mega base with default settings. Biters off. Ore set Max yield and close. Hence why I stop and start again because I get to a point and then I find out I missed something like I should have generated a better Map that has more trees...helps with pollution. @@theotherbigfoot
@@user-jr2ue9nu6y Setting up the map at the start of a game is actually a really important thing to get right. I have got it wrong many times. If I am doing a large base then ore patches all get increased to 300% and starting area is maxed out. Screw the default settings, playing a game is about having fun and if it is becoming a grind then I think you haven't set it up for the way you play the game. For me it is all about the factory. I want the biters, it is boring without them, but they need to be setup in a way that gives me enough peace and quiet to be able to actually build the factory, which is where the fun is for me. Other youtubers like the challenge of deathworlds, with biters set pretty much to max, I think that is hell on earth. There is no one way to play this game. We all play it differently. I can give my perspective and someone else can give theirs but to you we could both be wrong. It is about finding what works for you.

I think I would get a better grasp on what I should do in this game if my character wasn't human but some ant-like alien or a robot. This is great!

Yup, I use it to chop down trees so I don't have to bash each one with an axe.
I also use a mod to record the timelapse.
