@Jimtastic33 Hi, fist off an aluminium profile rig 2. Eracing Lab RS ultimate kit with surge traction loss and active belt 3 simcube pro steering 4 Asher racing back plate 5. Standard rally steering wheel 6 Sprint pedals with Sim3d shakers and metal spring upgrade 7. Heusinkveld shifter 8. Ultra light weight rally seat with 5 point harness 9. 3 32 in mointers 10. 5.1 Surround sound 11 basic roll cage and foam cover. I know it's shaken and destroyed by the motion and our 3 cats 🐈, so will do for now. The last thing is what software you choose to run your motion i have just switched from Sim racing studio to Simhub motion. Both are good but I prefer Simhub as there is more feeling and faster motion than before, and Mr Thanos runs it, but you need his latest driver installed on the thanos controller to allow compatibility. Build and enjoy 😉
Hi, mostly price, but also I wanted a rig I can adjust to fit me and be able to replace/ repair if / when needed. Before my shop bought rig broke itself 6 weeks without a rig before a decision to replace rather than repair 😂
Hey Hey just seen this awesome video got 2 questions apart from adding extra rigidity to the bottom frame would you say to look at anything else?? Also how did you mount the monitors? Are you not scared they will fell off 😂
@rooim1 Hi, the 2 main issues are the hole rig moving out of place during crashes, which I have tried to limit by adding fixing points to the side and back ot the lower frame. Now it just breaks the screw if I crash lol and the twisting force that you need to combat with the extra brackets in the lower frame. I'm now using thread lock on them as they were constantly coming loose on my 4 weekly checks. The monitors are mounted with a tripple moniter kit to attach to the rig again with extra profile and brackets to reinforce and hold in place. So far no issues with having them moving around. It allows them to be so much closer than they would have to be if free standing, and I had the problem when I ran them free standing of trying to bring them closer for better visibility, I crashed in Drit2.0 and ended up with my hands and the steering wheel behind the screens which was not good 🙃
Hi, sorry, only this TH-cam channel for now, and yes, the screens are fixed in place. But can easily be removed and set up free standing as I already tried that and have the bits and pieces to make it. The main issue is the rig forward about 300mm so the screens are currently 70 cm away from my eyes, this would increase to 1000mm to make sure when rallying you don't hit the screens
I would love this set up can you please share what you have. Thank you

Fantastic. What made you to decide to go with RS Mega instead of Hexapod?
