I bought this and the dial doesn’t have a light for each temperature range. I’ve only used it twice, the second being now. I’m making beef jerky. I freaked out thinking it’s not getting hot enough. I cracked the lid and stuck a digital thermometer in. On the highest setting it’s at 142 degrees and is cycling on and off. It’s too late to return it. I’m looking for a different one that shows the temperature

Is it important to use all 5 trays? Or only 1 or 2 if i don't need the others.
Did you try herbs like mint and rosemary?
If you twist each tray, they adjust in height for various food heights.
