Buharlama prosesi ile halı, örgü çorap vb ipliklere gerekli tokluk
efektini vererek görünüşlerini zenginleştirir.
Buharlama prosesinde malzeme içindeki büzülmeler ipliğin her
bölümünde giderilir. Böylece iplikte daha sonraki operasyonlarda
oluşabilecek form bozuklukları da giderilir. Buharın direkt
olarak buharlama kabinine enjekte edildiği, dolayısı ile ağır
bir kondenzasyona ve şok etkilerine maruz kaldığı direkt ısıtma
sisteminin yerine endirekt ısıtma sistemi kullanılır. Endirekt
ısıtma sistemi ile buharlaşma olayı kabinde oluşturulur.
Otoklavın alt kısmına monte edilen su banyosu, eşanjör
vasıtasıyla ısıtılır. Her buharlaşma işleminden önce elde edilen
vakumdan dolayı buharlaşma olayı 40-50˚C civarında elde edilir.
Bu düşük sıcaklıkta elde edilen doymuş buhar, işlem görmüş
iplik üzerinde şok etkisini ve kondenzasyonu önler. Sıcaklığa
karşı hassas ürünler yumuşak bir işleme maruz kalırlar.
