I used to watch this in 1967 on a saturday morning the year I started school. No wonder I was turned on to Psychedelics as I got older.I never regret it.Love and peace (still)
My God, that's amazing! I thought this was some lame video and somone just mixed some clips together and set it to "Strawberry Fields". But I never expected this. :D
I love the part where Driver has to comfort the Beatles after they get attacked and are whimpering like babies. It's so humorous and cute at the same time.
Delightful! This time not as much of the first episodes anarchical humor, but truly according to this song spirit. Exactly as the Fab 4 were developing through the years. Strawberry Fields forever!!
When did Paul McCartney play on a six-string Rickenbaker violin bass ? I've only seen him play a four string violin bass & did'nt know there was a six-string model too...
If George's sister Louise starred in this episode, she would've defended the Beatles by berating the children while swinging an old broom she found lying on the ground. Then, she'd hurry to the side of brother and his friends, who were battered and bruised from the stones the orphans pelted them with, to tend their wounds and comfort them. She would also be conserned about the orphans' reckless, hostile behavior, and wonder what got into them.
Well, I didn't MAKE this one. (I did do a stereo dub of the song.) This is a segment actually aired on TV back in 1967. The only ones I made are "Youngblood", "I Am the Walrus" and "Back in the USSR", (plus some re-editing on "I'm Looking Through You"). On those I "mashed up" shots from the various episodes made back in the 1960s, plus a few original drawings and (very) short animated bits.
