amazing tutorial! im making this for both myself and my sibling for halloween! my sibling is going as strawberry shortcake and im going as blueberry muffin and this is perfect! for mine, i altered the pattern slightly at the berry part so it looked more like a blueberry 😊 instead of doing the green part in the strawberry, i ended up just skipping that step and joining my background color back into it! for the next round, instead of doing the 2dctog, i just put one dc in the top of the blueberry and kept going as usual 🥰 thank you so much for the great tutorial and clear instructions!

The colours depend on who you order your yarn from, I use this seller on ebay - ziyuan-285

but anyone who sells a good range of the 'cow' label milk cotton would be ok.

Yes you can! You could use pretty much most yarns but just know that it will result in a different size pouch. If you have a fine cotton, say a 2 weight, you could use double strands to thicken it up. Just make sure that all yarn used for the project is the same or similar weight... for example, 2 strands of a 2 weight yarn might equal 1 strand of a 3 or 4 weight acrylic - hope this helps :)

Hi! I just wanna ask how thick are the yarn you used? Is 8 ply enough for the pale yellow and 5 ply for the others?
Hey there. 8ply is perfect! If you are using 5 ply for the mauve top you may want to go up a half size to a full size in the crochet hook to match the pale yellow, but it should be ok for the red and green. Have fun making it and sorry for the slow reply ^~^

I buy mine from ebay and aliexpress (online) it is called 'milk cotton' and it has a cow on the label - lots of sellers have it available :)
Thank you so much for making this amazing tutorial! I wanted to make this pouch but the explanations on other tutorials weren't clear enough for me to understand so this one is so helpful. I want to make it a bit bigger, can I do that by starting with more chains? Can it be the number of chains I want or does it have to be an odd number of stiches? Thank you again :) (And sorry for my english, it's not my first language. If you didn't understand something I wrote tell me and i can try to explain it differently)
So sorry for the slow reply. YES you can make it bigger. The easiest way would be to use thicker yarn and a larger hook, but if you cant do that you could easily add additional chains when you start - I would recommend another 6 or in lots of 6 so you can add an extra stitch between the strawberries and at either side of them. I hope that makes sense. Don't forget to crochet more rows to make it longer as well ^~^ Thanks for the wonderfully supportive comment, you are a whiz at english x

While I was waiting for your reply I made the pouch with the number of stiches you said in the video to practice because I've only made a few amigurumi and I'm not used to sart with a chain as a foundation. I'm still a begginer and it turned out so cute! It motivated me to continue crocheting, I'm so happy with my new hobby. I will try making another pouch but bigger when I buy more yarn. Thanks!

Let me check - the finished flat size of the pouch I made is approx. 9" wide x 11" tall (or 225 x 280mm). but it will depend on the yarn thickness, crochet hook size and your personal stitch tension. Have fun making it :)
