Looking ahead, it's interesting that Todd isn't really mad with Blair when he finds out she lied about the baby's paternity. He basically lets it go. I guess because, by that time, he had done something so awful himself (the dead baby lie) that he didn't think he should be mad. Also, he just wanted really badly to be with Blair; showering her in untypically, flowery love language at the airport when he came back with Jack.
Its awful blair is asking him to trust her while shes lying to the man that shes having another mans baby. That man has done nothing but wreck todds marriage the 1st one now barges into his home calls his daughter a demon & called him a loser like he won. Max doesnt even bother w/ his orphan twins & left al to live in poverty w/ gabrielle who just got put of prison.
Todd has a raging, unpredictable temper and has also badly betrayed her in the past when he turned in her clothes to the police.Plus, he framed her for a murder! Add to that his kidnapping of Starr and he's kept her from Starr at least one other time. So mistrust is a good part of the reason she's not telling him. Blair never knows what he'll do when he gets mad. In response to her fears, she thinks about marrying Max or running away with Jack. She's not testing Todd, she's fearful. She does also test him at one point, however, which is stupid.
Infuriating.... It's hard to keep the interest of the viewer when you don't give them any payoff with their favorite couple being happy for a while. We all understand it's a soap opera and when you drama and the negative stuff happening, but when there's no contrast with good stuff, It seems pointless.
Just more rehashing of Blair as a liar and manipulator and Todd as a jealous, angry guy who rages and gets vengeful and crazy. Then they forgive and they reunite. I hate to admit it but I think TSJ had a point about the wash, rinse and repeat during this time frame.

The writers just kept screwing the Todd/Blair up guess they didn't give a damn what fans wanted... same is happening on GH with Franco/Liz.
