I went to his book signing recently and wrote him a letter with a movie reccomendation for him. He's so open, sweet, genuin and laid-back, unlike me at my first signing (the second book was the first autograph I got from him) where I was shaking like a chihuaha and I meant to tell him how much he's helped me get through and how much he's influenced me, but I just blurted out "Its so odd not seeing you on the computer screen-I mean the TV screen!" And he was so kind about it telling me "Thank you, its so nice to meet you in person!" And after he said that I died and I couldn't sleep that night, like at all cause I wanted to get to the end of the book so badly. So this year I made sure that if I said the wrong thing, I had a letter with me saying thank you. Sometimes you meet your idols and they don't live up to your expectations, but my experience with him was a dream come true, and then I went to meet Lea at her CD signing and I was in awe not knowing what to say to her. Hopefully when Amber gets her album out she'll have a signing I can go to.

I might be seeing him at a book signing. I am very confused on how it works. Do I talk to him? I don't just want to stand there awkwardly. I have never been to a book signing before. Any help or tips would be amazing. Maybe some step by step of what to do?
zoe So how it works is one show up HELLA early cuz the crowd will be ridiculous and you first go and get your book before you comein the lecture room. so get your book very fast and you will get a great seat and you will wait a while and then a person who works at the place tyoure at will come and give u the rules about signing the books whuich are he will sign 8 book per ticket holder and only 2 can be rom the older titles of TLOS and no phones out as u get your book signed and there will be a small section where u can take pics of him and there are no posed pics and make your interaction with him quik.after the instructions are given he will come out with questions or there will be a mic people wil pass around to ask he will answer and they will leave to go to the signign room. after that you would have already received a ticket with your group number for signnigd]s on it KEEP IT DONT LLOOSE IT they will call off the group numbers and when your nuumber is called you will go tyo another line and hand the card to a lady waiting on it. the line will go very fast and you will then get your book signed and tell chris some quick things then take some pics and go. after that you will leave or do what i did with a group of ppl i met there and waited till everyone leaves and chris willleave to and hell wave or speak really quick then drive away. honestly it was the funnesty thing i ever did
