The Lakers was my favourite team ever of the NBA.I was fan of them since the age of "Magic" Johnson,James Worthy,Kareem Abdul Jabbar,Byron Scott,Michael Cooper,Kurt Rambis...they were the real "Showtime" play of the Forum of Inglewood. That duels against Celtics in the NBA finals were umbelievebles, and It was so good for the NBA.

Dr. Buss,, Kareem, & Magic Partnered to Save The Lakers & The NBA! Larry Bird & The Celtics also played a huge factor in that regard.
Buss & Magic were a Team. Earvin's passion, smile, & personality were a natural fit. I've never seen another player like it in 49 years.

Damn the intro got me emotional as heck. From Showtime, to the 90's Lake Show, to the Kobe/Shaq dynasty, to Kobe's back-to-back titles, then the dark days, and finally LeBron coming in to establish a new legacy.

Thie time period of the Buss Family, the children's formative years, was typical of many families across the country. Brings back many painful memories of my family.
Dr. Jerry Buss Was An Iconic Pioneer & Revolutionary Thinker in An Array of Facets.
Jerry was a Key Cog & integral Component of The Survival of The NBA This story makes me wish I grew up a member of the Buss Family. Rest In Paradise Jerry. Love You Sir! The Lakers Show Time Era is Ok Sir.

Jim Buss should’ve never been CEO. Jeanie deserved that position from the get-go. Jim Buss f*cked up Kobe’s last years in LA. And he was part of the horrible Luol Deng contract that still haunts the team to this day smh

In 1984-85 My best friend & I attended a Blazer & Laker Game at Portland's Memorial Coliseum..We had upper level seats. We traded our tickets plus $15 to a man on side of road in front of Coliseum. We looked at the tickets and they said, COURTSIDE 3d Row! I was in awe & amazement. It could of easily been the greatest moment in my entire life! Yes, we were huge Blazer Fans but we were also aware of The Rapidly Growing Brand & Integral Product That Mr. Dr. Jerry Buss & The Laker Family Were Creating. The Blazers had LA up by 18 three different times & we managed to escape with a win. You guys had just acquired Bob Macadoo & Magic took a million dollar unheard of pay cut to do so.
The Coliseum had aluminum steps that everyone stomped on & applauded & screamed at the same time. Needless to say my best friend Terry & I left their without voices & unable to hear for at least 1-2 hours. The experience was unlike any other I had ever experienced and served as a lifetime memory for eternity.
A Special Thank You To The Buss Family & The Lakers Family for playing such integral components & facets in The Lives of Me and My Best Friend & My Big Brother Mike As Well..Mike placed a Basketball in my hands at a mere 5 years of age. He said hit the top left corner of square in back of the cylinder and the ball will go in. I did as he said & I've been playing Basketball for the last 49 years avidly! It's literally one of the greatest facets of my life I've had the honor of knowing.
Great Show You Guys. It brought out a lot of emotion. It's all good emotion though.

The Lakers are like a religion to some of us Lakers fanatics. We have multiple generations of Lakers fans in my family. My cousins in the Philippines would wear fake Lakers jerseys that my aunt would make from discarded clothing. They were too poor for authentic gear, they basically walked around in flip flops & lived in shanty shacks. In the 80’s my parents would record the Lakers games & send the VHS tapes to my relatives in the Philippines so they stay up to date. Their whole village would show up to watch the VHS recordings. And the next thing you know, THE WHOLE VILLAGE ARE NOW LAKERS FANS TOO! And now all the kids are begging their moms to sew them up a Lakers jersey lol. Win lose or draw, I will always be a proud LAKERS fan! ✌🏾💜💛

as a kid growing up in nyc im a die hard knicks fan and yes i know we’ve sucked for a long time. got to watch MJ at the garden a few times in the 90s and am a jordan fan through and through the only team and players i put in the same tier as MJ are the 2000s lakers with kobe and Shaq. i know magic and bird are also on the rushmore of the nba but those two squads are the only teams to 3peat and thats the only true sign of dominance IMO

@@kiercebarrington949 To me Lebron isn't a true Laker. He's a fill in player that came to LA to increase his Hollywood status to aid in his narcissism for media attention. Derrick Fisher is more of a Laker than Lebron would ever be.
