I love that the swapping of captains is included in this arrangement! Pikmin music can be quite difficult to pull off, so what you've done here is quite impressive! Nice work and good luck in the competition!
There's something wonderfully challenging about making compelling lines and textures with just one kind of instrument, and I think you did that here! I think the trills and ostinato stuff really added to it too. Good track!
Wow this is absolutely AMAZING! I love the visuals in this. The red and blue shirts remind me of red and blue Pikmin. All your parts sound so polished and I can tell that a lot of love was put into this. This is my favorite cover from you at the moment! Wonderful job! ❤
Thank you so much! Yeah, the shirts were a last second decision. I was actually thinking red and blue for Olimar and Louie, but I did also think people would think the Pikmin first, lol. I just didn't have a yellow shirt though.
Really cool to hear this track arranged for your sort of ensemble - such an ambitious feat! I liked how your panning was reinforced by placement of parts on the screen; that's a nice touch! I particularly liked the depth and warmth of those hummed octaves, I think that's such a neat combination with the clarinets! Thanks for taking part in this competition! :)
I’ve never actually played Pikmin but this track is unforgettable. Nice job on the arrangement-this really captures that serene mysterious feel, and that moment where the vocals come in is way too cool!
I never did figure out how to get it to work completely right. I found out that each pad/cymbal isn't triggering just one button. They are triggering 2 or even 3. All the pads trigger Button 11. All the cymbals trigger Button 12. Blue pad & cymbal trigger Button 1, Green: Button 2, Red: Button 3, Yellow: Button 4. The Yellow and Blue Cymbals also trigger an Axis called Hat up and down. I use Reaper, and I messed around with some code other people wrote for adding the drumset as a joystick control to Reaper. None of it was working, so I went and just used a joystick mapper, but I couldn't use all pads and cymbals that way because of how everything triggers multiple buttons. You can see in the video I did cymbals in one part and drums in the other. I always wanted to play some actually percussion in my stuff, but I can't afford actual equipment so this worked out pretty cool. Maybe one day I'll actually dig into the how the code part works and try to figure it out. (Also, my set's a Wii Drumset. I don't know it Xbox and PlayStation ones are different.)
@@kadenquatro oof, that sounds like a mess! I'm sure I'll get an actual electronic kit some day, but I have those drums just sitting around! It sure would be nice if it were seamless :)

Tricky tune with all those arpeggios. You did well and have nice sound textures.
Nice arrangement! Looking like a lot of action going on!
Thanks!
Cool arrangement and video editing!
Cool! How'd you get the rock band drums to work as a midi controller? I fought with it for a while, but I never had success with it.
