I'm an amateur photographer who primarily uses a Sony A7IV for family, friends, fishing, critters and nature photography, but invested in the iPhone 15 Pro last year to have a better phone camera in my pocket. I have struggled mightily to get the best out of that iPhone to date, and have struggled even more to find the appropriate online courses and tutorials to give me a solid understanding of the basics up to the intermediate level that an amateur photographer such as myself could understand and apply. This tutorial was FANTASTIC, covered so much that I really did not know, it was easy to just follow along with, take notes, practice while pausing, very well laid out. Thank you so much! I am now subscribed to your channel, and will be checking out your other videos as well. If you read this and want to point me in the right direction, in terms of your next video(s) to check out, I would great appreciate it. Again, FANTASTIC JOB, thank you again.
Fantastic instructional Video. Upgraded from an XR - to the 15 pro max. Lots of options to understand and try, but I really appreciate your clear presentation. Thank You.👍🏻
Herzlichen Dank, Werner!
Totally brilliant video. So helpful, clear and measured. Found lots of new things and remembered things that I’ve forgotten as well. Just delightful for all users - beginners to refreshers. Thanks so much. Have subscribed and 👍. Have a good weekend.
Excellent, to the point, well spoken. So packed with useful information you might find yourself pausing or rewinding to take it all in. Thank you Werner!
Hello! Great video. Can you please help us in offering a solution for the grainy and weird photos from iPhone 15? Especially the selfies? If we can change settings or perhaps a photo edit app we can use to soften the images?
Hello, when I set my camera settings like this, will my storage space fill up very quickly? I am an average user and I take photos and videos for social media.
Hello I have a question. I have the iPhone 15 pro, and whenever I take Selfies, the pictures are Turning out weird. They are Kind of grey After I Took a picture . The pic Looks differently of when I looked in the Camera. Can someone help me?
Thank You Thank You Thank You,,,,,, for sharing. Your content is very helpful, and it helps me to set-up my new iPhone for better quality photos and videos.
I was looking at your video, wow good job sir! Was wondering if I’m the only one (iPhone 15 pro) that has the famous bug of that when I open photo from gallery it doesn’t show at full quality I have to pinch and zoom in and then back to the normal zoom to acquire full quality otherwise if I close the photo and re open it it’s the same , it’s like kinda blurry or not at the full quality pls help 😪
FOCUS issues question for the gallery! If you are shooting medium to macro stationary item on video and the focus blows - how do you get it back? I’m an artist and I often will do a zoom in on my watercolour paints. On my iPhone 11 it was excellent and automatically adjusted to what was closest, on the iPhone, 15 for some reason, the focus has gone way off into the distance and even if I click on the item closest to the lens, it still does not focus. If anyone has a solution, I would be so grateful and thank you so much for helping out!
Hi, depends on what you use your videos for. Most of the time you won't see much difference and you will need significantly more storage. I would therefore only recommend it to professionals.
Brother ! In my iPhone 15 pro max if I take few pics in camera it gets hot ! I’m so much bothered about this! Could you please tell any solution for this !Thanks
But why there is no ability to adjust the WB, ISO, and Shutter Speed. I personally hate the native camera app. Instead I am using the Moment pro app or Halide.
so good well explained . learned a lot l subscribed. l will invite you to coffee when l go to Germany next year or anytime if you ever come to Toronto . Merry Christmas and very Happy New Year . Danke Schone
Thanks. Very good video. 19:48 why does it show blown out highlights over the brigde in phone but not in the edit program? Why is mirroring front camera not turned on at factory? And how do you know when it's showing the right picture as it would be on transfer it to a computer? Also, is there any way to set the exposure compensation without it changes every time when you want to change focus? It would be very interesting to se different raw campera apps explained since you are doin it this long and informative.
Hi, thx. 1. Actually there are no blown out highlights - it just looks like this in my video - the iPhone display is an HDR-Display and can therefore show very bright highlights. 2. No idea - we need to ask Apple 3. Didn't really understand the question..
@MountMediaChannel Thanks. When you are draging the slider (exposure control, -/+ -0,7 for example. The phone changes the exposure anyway when you want to set focus somewhere else. How do you make it underexpose -0.7 all the time without the exposure changes when you press the sceen? 😊
Thank you . I am a long time user of iPhone for photography . Currently 13 pro . Very near the end of this video you quickly cover that 48mp is only available in the 1x …at least that is what I think you said . Please would you confirm this or correct me. A big problem with iPhone native camera app is that many many times the color rendered is incorrect often resulting in garish false colours . Photoshop Cafe demonstrated this is still the case with the 15 models for example it seeing black as blue . I have been to an Apple shop and demonstrated this on my iPhone 13pro . They agreed and the people in the shop decided that there must be something wrong with the camera module in my iPhone 13pro . They changed the entire camera module but it made no difference. The problem arises from the computational process inside the phone . Until Apple fixes this I am not upgrading . Yes I know that it can be resolved in editing but so so time consuming . Taking photos with a different camera app can overcome it but Apple should fix the problem in native camera
May I suggest that if you are going to teach viewers the camera basics, you might use the term 1 times, 5 times for the lenses. Just saying "ex" doesn't mean anything. The "X" symbol is the mathematical multiplication symbol as I'm sure you know. Let's teach the viewers the principles of the symbol, ie. it's a two times lens, five times lens, in the way it increases the frame of the basic one times lens. Otherwise some people new to photography might think that it's the actual name of the lens... Apart from that, good video 😄
Took some pictures of the night sky it all looks fake like cgi it’s absolutely beautiful looks like avatar or something but looks fake not what my eyes see much brighter . Dam so much info this gonna take a pad n ✏️ . I see others are talking over the same problem. 👇
I have just puchased iPhone 15 Pro and the cameras are terrible, they make me look ugly, make unexisting brown spots on my skin, exaggerate every imperfection. The selfie camera takes low quality pictures and videos. My cheap phone by another brand takes much better pictures. I am very disappointed
on my s23 ultra i just press 1 button and the best pictures come out, on my 15 pro max lol half are blurry and total garbage. what a difference its not even fair.
I just purchased a 15 promax and this has been Incredibly helpful and very easy to follow. Thank you so much for putting this together!!
Werner, you're the iPhone guru I've been seeking.
This is my 1st time using iphone pro version. Ur video is very helpful. So informative. Tq for sharing 😊

Hello, when I set my camera settings like this, will my storage space fill up very quickly? I am an average user and I take photos and videos for social media.
No - since the files are heavily compressed your storage space will not fill up quickly
Brilliant tutorial. I discovered I already had most of these features on my old 11Pro -- wish I'd known!
This has been awesome video….thanks for sharing 😊

Hello, regarding to prores, do you recommend turning it on or off?

Tbh, im so disappointed with the camera after taking shot. Quality is so poor specially the front camera 😢
Tons of great info but you talk too fast for me. I wish I could print out the narrative.
Как бы я фото не настраивала, у меня никогда не получаются красивые фото 🤪😝
Видимо фотографом нужно родится
The front camera is not good
ഇതൊക്കെ ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് അറിയാമായിരുന്നു
I’m sure this was a great video. Sure wish he talked a little slower.
Slow the speed on the video and put on closed captions

you apple fan bois wont even try an s23 ultra lol while samsung knights often buy apple just to have a good laugh
