Would love to see a video comparing this to the MAONO Low Profile Microphone Arm. It seems like Beacn likely just black labeled an existing mic arm and charges an extra $50 for the exact same product.
Hey everyone, I'm working with my contact at Beacn to see when the stand will be listed. Embargo lifted at 9am pst. Soon as I have more info I'll update you all here.
@@StreamGearTalkI wanna know if this video is sponsored talking the mic I want one for Christmas but don’t wanna ease family money what do you think is the best gaming mic
This video was not sponsored. I did receive both the mic and the mic stabd for free for review. I think the mic is ok. If you ate willing to spend the time tonget the eq right it can sound good. If you font have the patience to eq it just right (or if you feel thay at that price you shouldn't have to) then this mic doesn't sound it's best on its own. The sale price is nice no doubt but I'd highly encourage you to look up both positive and negative reviews about the mic first
Great review, very thorough. I've been using a table-top and it's cheap and annoying. I like the looks of the Beacn because it reminds me of how my Ergotron monitor arms work. Also, I feel like the under profile approach would work better for me. And yeah, the cable management is cool. Probably going to pick one up. White is very cool.
Fast-forwarding 7 months I'm wondering if you still have and use the BEACN as your main Mic stand, or if something else surpassed it 🙂 I have the habit of not sitting in the same pose, height-wise. All depending on the activity I need a microphone for. Alas, one time I can be sitting straight up, but at other times I can be sitting laid back (relaxing) for a bit, resulting in a lower mouth-to-mic position. I'm wondering if a Low Profile mic stand such as the BEACN can account for those circumstances, as well. /a RØDE PSA1+ user
I have several arms and I rotate them. As far as low profile is concerned I believe this one to be better than elgato s. Right now though I'm using the livestreamer arm by avermedia. It works as a low profile and a "high" profile arm. Has it's issues but overall great arm too. Eventually the bug will hit me and I'll change up my set up layout and probably re use the beacn arm again, then the psa1+ then Elgato rinse and repeat lol
@@StreamGearTalk Ahh, the dreaded "rinse and repeat" bug 😂 Well, I've had the Elgato LP for a short while. Somehow I coulnd't get it articulate up-and-down the way I wanted. Had to tighten and loosen the tension of the arm many times, up to the point where it irritated me so much that I decided to return the damn thing. The only "drawback" I experience with my RØDE PSA1+ is that it can get "in the way" sometimes. I LOVE its smooth- and/or swiftness of repositioning the arm. It really goes effortless. The Elgato Low Profile arm missed all of that and It pretty much instantly annoyed (and frustrated) me, lol. I would love to give the BEACN Mic stand a shot, but apparently it's an impossible task for BEACN to get them in stock for EUropean customers. Poor me 😢
Oh man I'm sorry to hear that. Yes that beacn arm has really smooth articulation , definitely better than elgatos LP arm. The livestreamer arm is awesome but also a hastle to set up. If we could get a LP rode arm I feel like they'd knock it out the park
I need this arm!! I currently have the elgato lp mic arm and the beacn mic and the mic arm just gets in my way when im using my peripherals. As much as I tighten the arm, it keeps falling. I think this arm would be so much better than elgato.

@@StreamGearTalk okay thank you but what is the best mike under let’s say 250 you actually recommend to me ?
You want usb or xlr? If xlr do you have an audio interface?

VERY NICE mic arm!! Looks like they also gave you a white BEACN mic? :) :) You know how I feel about the BEACN mic :) :) :) :)
Is it longer than the Elgato LP?
What’s the length of this stand? Great video btw.

nice video!
what’s the total reach?
does this work for a blue yeti? can someone please answer, thank you
If you have the Blue Yeti shock mount, that would work. Mic mounts are interchangeable so something would work if you took it out of the desk stand.
