2 days ago I saw a video about toxic ACC lobbys and everyone told me in iRacing there is no such thing as intended wrecking even though I played it myself for 2 years. How ironic isnt it? Feeling sad for you but iRacing seems to be not expensive enough to get those fks out.
iRacing reflects society in general, so there are bound to be some bad apples in there. ACC open lobbies are much worse I found, but even in real life club racing you see drivers who do some stupid stuff, just to take/hold on to a position.
The new version of Assetto Corsa may be a better cost option that iRacing if you're not interested in on-line racing, i'm looking forward to seeing what it's like
@@pitbitsdave I like the iRacing physics and the accuracy of the circuits. I also have AC, ACC, LMU, RFactor2, Raceroom, and Rennsport. Not sure how the AC Evo is going to pan out as a true racing sim though... time will tell!
Sorry to say, but looks like you could have avoided the chicane contact if you didnt return to the middle of the track and stayed by the left kurb. Anyway the guy went for a bold move on you
Woah, man. that sucks. From P1 to getting taken out by noobs. I'm actually surprised that this happened in iRacing; I've had way better experience in AC.
Welcome to online racing against 12 Years old and joypad users. Dont speak about people who cheat and glitch with unrealistic setups and paytowin Hardware. Simracing is the Fairplay hell. And beside of all this....we have people without any knowing about Racing Rules and cars. Try to find fun.... Online Racing is more like a Deathmatch of your freetime. Some people drive with Tripple others with VR and some with a single Laptop on 25%Fov. Some drive with joypad, some with 2nm others with 25nm. The only competition is how accurate you burn your time. 🎉 and how much it coast you.
ignoring the guy on the straight, im still trying to get my head around why you seemed to think there was anything wrong with the first move? ther wasnt any contact you both made the corner i really dont see any issue with it but you make it seem like it wasnt a good move
From the cockpit it looked to me like he dove up the inside, couldn't stop for the corner and went off. From the outside I can see that he did stay on the track so It was just a block pass rather than passing off the track. It's not a move I would make but in the real world it's the kind of move that gets made in all sorts of racing. The downside for me was that because he essentially parked it on the apex and I had to take avoiding action, the guy behind hit me. It's not one I would protest, but it's not one I would make myself on the first lap of a 30 min race......
@@pitbitsdave if youre a faster driver in second being held up even on the first minute of a lap can be frustrating, he might have just wanted to run away and take as big a lead he can. the only reason theres any issue with that pass is the guy behind playing time trial. 30 minute or not, track position is king and even in endurance racing theyll fight for first on the opening lap
the guy went deep as , missed the apex and in theory if you went two wide into the chicane with him ..youd be dead..cos he never made it and wouyld have pushed you off track. He then proceeds to continue the chicane like he never made a mistake. only a moron would not see anything wrong with what he did.
Reporting is all fine (but those are never punished hard enough) next to do (IMHO) is go to his profile page and choose to never be able to be in a race session with him again. The only way to avoid those pesky rammers is to avoid them from joining you or them in future sessions., Iracing central should ban these rammers for weeks or months and strike their rankings harder. Most Smurf accounts are around to hurt other's progress imho.
@@pitbitsdave Yes indeed go look it up on someone's profile page, I'm no longer on Iracing else I would have been able to guide you better. You were willing to take it 4 wide on the first lap with two of the cars banging into each other on your right. The guy 100% wrecked you but the moment you pushed to fill the gap given the situation you were asking for trouble.
It's a big wide open corner and all we had to do was drive straight, I dont think I was asking too much of those around me.........but you're right, the best way to avoid trouble is not race people
I agree with this guy, it’s not your fault, but it IS your fault at the same time for deciding 4 wide on lap 1 after talking about lap 1 hero’s at the start haha
@@pitbitsdave Dont listen to them. What you did is perfectly fine and normal racing, once you start pulling out of stuff like that where is the fun? In my experience its better in higher splits, guys like that tend not to get higher up so keep chipping away.
“If you no longer go for a gap which exists you are no longer a racing driver” -Senna I am also scared to go for these, especially when I need to worry about SR, but that is racing, not going in is not racing. And also I am very much aware that me staying away from situations like this is very detrimental to my performance. Edit: also, he was faster, had more than enough space, if he doesn’t go for this overtake, where do you go for an overtake? He could ramm him in a corner in a wide straight or in a long turn as well, so do,you never go for it? The other 2 cars had nothing to do with this.

I used to really like ACC and do LFM occasionally, maybe it's time for another ACC video. I will be trying the new Assetto Corsa when it comes out, but for on-line racing I have found iRacing to be great.
Wow between your incident and the one next to you that happened at the same time I am glad I no longer bother with ispend! Come and join us at LMU for some fair racing
I've not tried LMU yet. I used to really like ACC and did LFM. I will be trying the new Assetto Corsa when it comes out, but for on-line racing I have found iRacing to be great.
@ mate get on LMU! You wont believe how good the ffb, physics and tyre model are compared to iracing. Plus the general driver etiquette does not compare
Bro is not Max Verstappen
No, more like Maldonado
@ ha, funny
Too often that's y I left iracing whole bunch of idiots who think they fast
It's not usually this bad, but it happens occasionally....
That’s why I don’t play in console… oh wait!
LOL, yes I thought I had left this behind when I sold my Xbox
Why I only iRace against the AI! I'm not interested in chasing ratings etc. so I've been a 'rookie' for years.
Anyway the guy went for a bold move on you
He certainly surprised me!
Woah, man.
It's the same with all motorsport, those with money have an advantage over those that dont...
just a bunch of people who got iracing for Christmas, they'll be gone in a short time
I hope so......we all make mistakes but doing it on purpose is so frustrating
Stuff like this is why I hate iracing
It's not very often this happens, but when it does I know what you mean
ignoring the guy on the straight, im still trying to get my head around why you seemed to think there was anything wrong with the first move? ther wasnt any contact you both made the corner i really dont see any issue with it but you make it seem like it wasnt a good move
@@pitbitsdave I think he meant the overtake at the end of the straight, not the one at the second chicane.
the guy went deep as , missed the apex and in theory if you went two wide into the chicane with him ..youd be dead..cos he never made it and wouyld have pushed you off track. He then proceeds to continue the chicane like he never made a mistake.
only a moron would not see anything wrong with what he did.
this is why i dont race in rookies, class d or class c... just awful
It's not always this bad........
Imsa guys can be just as toxic tho
@@MitchelvdPutten right but people is more “safe” driving
If you have a high enough iRating there really isn't an issue with racing in rookies, in my opinion.
@@Arthur-Tromp i gues 2k is not enough
Reporting is all fine (but those are never punished hard enough) next to do (IMHO) is go to his profile page and choose to never be able to be in a race session with him again. The only way to avoid those pesky rammers is to avoid them from joining you or them in future sessions., Iracing central should ban these rammers for weeks or months and strike their rankings harder. Most Smurf accounts are around to hurt other's progress imho.
I didn't know that was an option, so does iRacing allow us to tag certain drivers so we wont be put in a race with them?
@@pitbitsdave Yes indeed go look it up on someone's profile page, I'm no longer on Iracing else I would have been able to guide you better. I can't remember exactly where but just browse around there and you'll find it Im sure.
It might be good to make a video about it because many in the Iracing community don't know about this option to ban those who are up to no good from being able to be in any of your races ever again.
@@pitbitsdave It only blocks them from sessions that you're hosting. There's nothing that you can do to avoid them in the practice or race sessions.
@@astraracer Then they changed that in the last ten months, too bad for the guys who want to race clean.
Dirty iracers, makes iRacing a joke
It's only a few who ruin it for everyone else. I'm lucky i've not come across too many of them so far
mariuz gibas is a crap driver
He was in this race
Tinha que ser br kkkkkkkkkk
Yes it had to be.....
LOL MEMMS, you got me there
“If you no longer go for a gap which exists you are no longer a racing driver” -Senna
I am also scared to go for these, especially when I need to worry about SR, but that is racing, not going in is not racing.
I don't even bother playing anymore. Pay money to have to screen record and report every single race due to salty players that can't handle being beaten by someone playing on a 12yo all in one desktop computer running at 25fps 😂
After 4 years this is only the 2nd driver I've felt the need to report.......
It's a shame that there are people like this who participate in Iracing races... I'm sorry because driving the Mazda mx5 would be a lot of fun, but I gave up because I only find "drivers" like that and all I do is lower the irating...🥲🥲😪😪
That's a shame. The minority spoil it for the majority in so many ways....
