Hahaha. Love it. The suspense is great! Its great to see your videos. The amount of beautiful deer you see is incredible. I keep trying to find a spot like you have, but when I sit nothing comes through. I saw 1 nice buck on the 1st but after that only small guys. Not sure where the big guys were but definitely not in my visual range. Keep up the videos. I look forward to them every year.
I didn't mind you passing that deer. With the quality bucks you have, that one wasn't old enough. Looking forward to the next one. Thanks for taking us along!
@@djboutdoors6473 I also love that it's about hunting and not a 2-minute intro and music. Seems like too many hunting videos want to be the Drury Bros. The raven making the dripping faucet call was so cool, reminded me when I use to hunt the north woods. They tend to warn hunters something is coming. A kill means an easy meal.
Nice work! Great footage! Interested to see what you get and I'm also interested to see or hear if Crystal got her moose. If she did, then hopefully that's an episode or 2.
@@SJDMJ unfortunately no moose and not a lot of footage from that hunt either. I had some major issues with my main camera and got the new one just in time for Whitetail season. Thanks for the continued support!
Love the content, I’m curious about the set. What kind of transition is this? Where are they coming from and going to? What makes that spot such a good transition area?
Just finished the video and you answered my question 😂. You hear a lot of guys talk about as soon as the rut hits the deers patterns change and you no longer hunt the feed. But it seems you still use this tactic, hunting the transition from bed to feed.
@@Theskeet I do, especially when the weather turns. This year we had that snow and cold weather hit around the 22nd-23rd and the amount that the deer were feeding really went up. In addition to that, during the rut I focus on two main types of areas. 1) main travel routes between major bedding areas and 2) edges of feed sources. Bucks are searching for does so hunt where the does are close by and you’ll find bucks.
Another great video. Just out of curiosity, how far is the trail that is closest to your blind that the deer are reluctant to use once you set up the blind?
When I saw that broken brow on that buck in your last video, I was hoping you passed him. 😊 I hope you passed the buck at the end of this video, too ... but if you didn’t, congrats!😊 Great hunt so far. 👌

WQW . Private land is so wonderful !! A parade of beautiful smashers all calm and chill . must know most them for years on game cam pics , trails used . times they move, life history really . Where most Albertans hunt public land the cameras and blinds get stolen , the bucks are super skittesh avoid roads altogether and road hunters go by every 4 min LOL
@@chrisdeal9945 there’s no hiding the fact we’re fortunate to have family and friends who let us hunt private land at times. But managing the deer numbers, not over hunting and not pressuring the animals in that private land is an all year challenge. The last episode next week will cover some of the ways in which we keep those areas good places to hunt. Truth be told, we do more hunting in total on public land than private. And while I do know the challenges many people have hunting public land (stolen cameras, blinds and road hunters) all the negative experiences I’ve had with those same things have come on private land. Trespassers hunting where they shouldn’t, stealing cameras in the dark, taking blinds…and many others hunting private land will tell very similar stories. Appreciate you watching.
It doesn't matter private or crown, there are dicks everywhere. The deer act the same on private and crown, they have to survive coyotes, bears, lions, wolves and people. Trick to hunting crown and private is staying away from roads, they get road hunted so much the mature animals find pockets to hold up in. Look where people aren't and you'll find the good animals
