- Hello mga KUNARS! UK ready na ba ang lahat? Pag-usapan muna natin kung ano ba ang ugali ng mga Briton.
Magbibigay ako ng 10 common British traits para naman may idea kayo sa mga kaugalian namin (CHAROT! HAHA!) ng mga Briton pag punta nyo dito sa UK. :)

Worked in Liverpool for 10 yrs. Unang araw namin doon , gumala kami. Ang nag assist sa amin , naka wheelchair, nakita nya na baguhan kami. Sinabihan kami na sa opposite side ang traffic/ driving doon kumpara sa Pinas. Bago umalis, sinabihan kami, welcomes to Liverpool, hope you stay with us for long & you have good day. Yes Briton are obsessed about the weather, and you are very lucky if your british colleagues or british friends attend your birthday party they value their time coz they are so busy working.
Well mannered ang mga English and sumusunod talaga sa batas 😊
One thing I won’t forget - not in UK - is when I told my boss “I’ll try” and he said “trying is next to failing” and corrected me to say “I’ll do it on/when..”

Madami na din mga British/ English na kakilala ko dito sa Oxford, nagtatanggal na ng sapatos, especially kung yung host ng bahay is from Southeast Asia. Alam na nila. Nakakatuwa kasi na-eembrace na din nila ang culture ng iba. O kaya tatanungin nila kung gusto mo silang magtanggal ng sapatos o hindi. LOve love!

My husband is british, minsan na nunuod din sya nang vlog mo tapos translate ko nalang 😆 true lahat itong shinare mo, ganyan na ganyan asawa ko, yung footwear nya natutunan na nya hubarin bago sya papasok nang bahay namin kasi pinapah vaccum ko sya pag naipapasok nya 😂 nung first time ko makapunta nang England nung nag lalagay nang fuel husband ko sa car pumasok ako sa store para bumili nang chocolate, nabati ako nung guy “love, can i help you” nasabi ko sa husband ko, feeling ko kasi nilalandi ako nung guy 😅 yun pala normal ang tawagin ka na “love” 🙈 yung sarcasm nila minsan talaga nakaka pikon, hindi ako masanay sanay 😆 anyway good luck sayo and thank you for vlogging!

I am watching your vlogs to prepare myself. I am currently applying rin po diyan sa UK but I am currently living and working here in Finland.
Regarding compliment, mejo similar rin mga tao dito, the smallest things is being complimented and I am an introvert myself so sometimes I just smile or even refute them hahahaha. Greetings, lol grabe rin sila mag greet dito at magthank you. Yung tipong the smallest thing is being thanked, tamad na akong magreply hahaha. Kung diyan football dito naman eh winter sports like ice hockey and football (same term here, soccer sa atin sa pinas ang football nila).
Ang 'sorry' dito 'anteeksi or anteeks' but it means two things, its either 'sorry' as in apologizing or 'excuse me' as in if you are asking for their attention or you are passing through etc. About the weather? hahaha lol, it's part of their 'small talk' here almost always especially that Finnish weather is the weirdest and most complicated weather ever, you'll experience 3 seasons in a day.
I don't get their jokes here LOL, I mean maybe because I am a foreigner here and most of my co-workers are oldies so...Their celebrations here are simple, sometimes a cake is enough, when you go out here you pay for your own food. They also do contributions here, last month we contributed for one of our co-workers who will be leaving for 'äitiysloma' /maternal leave. Mga kami lang na pinoy dito ang naglilibrehan hehe at kung may nag invite for celebration eh fiesta talaga ang kainan.
Overall, the similarities are cunning lol, maybe because they are the same after all UK was once part of the European nation.

Sobrang dami Kong tawa dito, sobrang relate. I live here in the UK din po. I think po ung meaning nila ng 'don't be sorry' is like no problem or its okay pero in a polite way. Kasi they don't want you to feel bad parang ganun po. And totoo ung hndi nila tinatanggal ung sapatos nila kapag papasok sa loob ng bahay 🤣 new subbie here 😊

Relate ako dyan..hirap kasi apologetic tayo mag-explain pero sila paprangkahin parin nila mga kamag-anak if wala sa lugar. Like nung nag outbreak dito sa amin sa work,bawal bisita. Kailangan ko talaga tatagan sarili ko mag-explain na di talaga pwede kasi nga May rule. Sabi ko nalang ayoko rin mapagalitan hahaha

Naexperience ko rn yan Nurse Even lgi ako cnsbhan "dont be sorry". And mhilig dn cla sa messages or chat mglagay ng "x" or "xx" sa dulo, it is like "xoxo" dw sbi skin. 😂 In Wales especially, they are called one of the friendliest people in the world and it is true! They are very polite! Samin naman "Are you okay?" laging tanong nila and they also always say "oh bless you" pag may kinwento ka sknla na something unhappy (not necessarily really bad) happened sayo. I have never been to UK but I handled UK clients during my call center days and I can say, they are genuine and kind. If they get mad, almost all Brits do not show their anger by shouting and they do not curse you. But prepare yourselves coz they are super duper sarcastic. XD

To be honest sa Pinas lang uso na ikaw na may birthday, ikaw pa manlilibre sa invited mo. Kahit dito sa states either kkb or you're the one being treated since birthday mo naman.

I'm here in Australia for almost 3 years. The British traits you mentioned are almost the same here. In fact even the English being used here is British English, not American English just like we use in the Philippines. Here, Australians greet you even though they don't know you. They are very appreciative, if you're invited too, you will be the one to pay for what you ate. They are very fond also of cards for different occasions. Football is also the favorite sports here.
