- Jeep Wrangler vs Landcruiser vs Land Rover Defender vs Toyota Hilux
The Rubicon takes on the challenge against a Landcruiser, a Defender and 2 Hilux's N60 and N70. As part of the LROR yearly trip we had a variety of other rigs on the day including Nissan Patrols, Mitsubishi Pajeros, Land Rover Discovery's amongst others but they decided to bypass this section.
this challenge is at the top of the Wombat Holes in Zig Zag at Newnes near Lithgow. A top spot for some off road action with a variety of 4x4 and overland trails. Be sure to check it out if you are ever in the area. Most difficult stuff can be bypassed so get out there and enjoy even with basic 4wd vehicles.

Awesome day out guys. I must admit im starting to get used to the light Jeep clutch and laggy throttle now. Thought I'd need some mods or throttle controller like an idrive but all that was needed was some wheel time.

King of the 4x4 JEEP
Jeep is the 4x4 champion according to most of authorized experts worldwide. Greetings from Costa Rica.
I am a Jeep guy, but I daily a Tundra, so I like different brands. But that obstable was perfect for a 2 door with alot of articulation. And thats what a real jeep(2 door) does.
That white hilux was pretty impressive. Ifs leaf rear practically stock tyres. Just mental.
The blue hilux was so close. A little bit of reversing to get his left front wheel solidly on the bank and straddling the gap and he would have been out.
The blokes driving could of used a decent spotter

What mods have you done.....?
Basically 3.5" spring lift and some cheap 35" tyres alongside front and rear bar, some underbody protecrion and flares. Rubicon comes equiped with a lot from factory.

A bloke near writes off his Landcruiser to take that line. Crazy.
Normally you spot someone if the driver asks for it. It wasn't like these guys were yelling and screaming asking for a spot and nobody helped. So calling everyone morons is abit dramatic.

Haha actually we had 3 on the day including 1 on 37s and none of them wanted to try it. In their defense that section has become really bad.
