I have a designated Ditto deck as well, but what I did was have a deck with half of one energy, and half of another. For the Mewtwo EX decks, I have half dark and half psychic Pokemon, plus my two Dittos. That makes it so that I can use my dark types up until the Mewtwo shows up, plant four psychic energies on Ditto, and then oneshot the Mewtwo EX with its own attack. I also have a half-fire half-water deck (you can use any two types, or even just one type for this) that I occasionally use for online games. If anyone happens to match types with me, I pull out the ditto. And even if we don't match, it can be a clutch card depending on the situation, and only costs one point it if gets KO'd. Good card, though it severely depends on the situation lol.
Fossils are items that can sub for a pokemon. Let's say your top mon is on the bench with full energy and damage but your opponent Sabrina's you to kill it, you can use a Fossil on the bench to sub it in and have that take the hit so your next turn you have your hitter up and take the shot.
To add to the previous comment: Some people will use Sabrina to stall you by forcing you to bring your ace from the bench who is not yet fully evolved/energized, forcing you to waste a turn to pay the retreat cost or take damage on your most valuable pokémon. So even if they don't kill the fossil you sent to the active spot immediately, you can just discard it (no retreat cost or point for the opponent) and bring back your active pokémon.
@@Axelerati0n thank you both so much for your help, just one last question: if they kill a fossil in the active pokemon spot, do they get a point then? also based off of this i would think i should put my 2 fossils into my deck
10th sub!!!!!!! keep the nice content
