When I grew up in Pine Hills, I live in the Westwood/Forest area near Silver Star Rd and Hastings Rd. It was a good place live in the 70's and 80's. When I rode the city bus downtown I saw many parts of Orlando I had never seen before.
I lived in Pine Hills in 1987-88, northwest of the area in this video. I also delivered pizza all over Pine Hills until sometime in 1992. Mostly the apartment complexes were the places to really avoid back then.
I grew up in pine hills in the seventies '80s and early '90s that used to be the best place to move in Orlando if you can believe that or not I was born and raised there I know exactly where you're at right now
I had some friends who lived there back in the 90's. I remember being over there for dinner and hearing gunshots from outside. After that,, I kind of avoided the area.. It seems to have gotten much nicer since then.
Right I’m from Cali and this neighborhood looks better than some parts of Beverly Hills tbh 😂. I’ve heard bad things about this neighborhood but it looks pretty good tome so 🤷🏾♀️
@@OrlandoStreets At the beginning of the video the narrator says "locals" call Pine Hills Crime Hills I've lived here since 1967 trust me when I say residents of Pine Hills don't like that. The apartment complexes are no-go zones. The rest of it depends on the street.

I'm glad it worked out for you. I love Barnett park.
I lived there in the mid 60’s to late 70’s, great times a good memories, very safe place to live. Sad what a hell hole it is now.
It's not in the news as much lately. Maybe it's improved.
I was there in the late 70s and eighties, it was a great neighbourhood...
Laws aren't enforced anymore. What are we to expect?

Well I used to be an EMT and I heard gun shots last time I went there in 2019. So it hasnt changed too much 😂
This is one nice looking hood. Houses from 200-400k?! Sheesh...
Yep, that's Florida. It's expensive now and crowded.
Grew up in Lockhart just outside Pine Hills. I was off Claircona Ocoee and pine hills rd. era 2000-2005.

@@OrlandoStreets Yeah but when I lived there that Walmart was an orange grove.
🫨 I thought that store was much older than that.
Can you do a drive through from Chickasaw Trail to Ensenada Dr?

More so lately.
I lived in Pine Hills in the 80s and it was beautiful but was destroyed by... well you know who in mid to late 90s.
It's the random violence that is concerning. Very concerning.
Drive at night through there
Never.
Pine hills is so weird to me it's just neighborhood on neighborhood and neverending streets full of homes no stores anything
Yeah it's messed up.
Wow the funny thing was i was born there
You survived Pine Hills! (kidding)

Let's be clear the locals do not call Pine Hills Crime Hills. Unless you want to start off a conversation on a sore foot don't call it that.
Some people call it that. I think that's what I said.

The thing is he won’t call it that to a local face
As far as I remember it was a dangerous area(((
I call it Crime Hilla. Now they are starting to move to Ocoee. Now Ocoee will get the crime. I hope not. 😢 Ocoee has a good Police force.
