No flying for us in Canberra Australia, cold, rain and messed up wind. Liked your flight drove past that area on holiday 2018. Lovely country as you say 🙂👍
@@MooSurfer - Darren, you absolutely did the right thing. I didn't see who it was, but if they were in your path and did not give any kind of indication they were going to turn (head turn, etc.) you absolutely should call them an idiot. Was it a PG?
@@MooSurfer I actually had to go into the office today, that sucked. You will laugh, I flew on Sunday and thought, let's see if I can be like Darren Brown and started to try and core a few thermals on my little PeaBee.
Thank you for watching! Glad you liked it. The bleeps indicate CHANGE in altitude. High pitched beeps signify that I'm going up - the faster the beeps, the faster the climb. That's what we use to centre ourselves when circling in thermals. It enables us to find the strongest lift and centre in it without looking at the instrument.
Not repetitive at all Bob. Bit of a mess those wires - now I usually try to tuck them away neater. Both wires are actually for the radio. One goes to my headset for the mic and earpiece. The other goes down my sleeve to the Press To Talk button attached to my hand.
It is a nightmare to edit with the Insta 360 and it gives poor sound, or I have to do sound separately. But I HAVE used it - just not frequently. For example here - which I uploaded only a month ago - th-cam.com/video/nVHvix1E8vM/w-d-xo.html
@@MooSurfer, I totally understand. But that Italian Dolomite video is da bomb! I keep going back to it and watching it again and again; I just can't get enough of it. You think that it has audio issues that, to me, don't exist. That video, as far as I know, is one of the very best on this site. If editing the videos shot with the Insta is a headache, I totally understand. But if you ever feel like using it, please don't hesitate; it has the best right around view that speaks more volumes than any HD audio. I can't wait for your next. Keep in mind that I will contact you for tips when I'm ready to join this sport because I think you're a great pilot. Thank you for keeping us entertained.
@@MooSurfer, oh yeah! I watched the video in the link you provided, I think within 2 hours of you uploading it. Trust me, I'm always standby to watch your uploads. That is one great video! Thank you for sharing with us.
what a beautiful landscape! plenty of landing possibilities, yet enough ridges to soar ... :)
You always make it look so easy. Love your videos.
Thanks for sharing so much Beauty
Thanks for this video and the explanation at the end, great stuff (again..)
That looks like so much fun ! What a nice day
Classic paragliders.. Nice video.
Thanks Darren. Great analysis at the end as well.
That's high praise coming from you! Thanks Jonathan :-)
Another cracking video Darren. Always something to learn!
Some interesting points mate - good to see you busy!
And I see you are not busy on nights! ;-) I hope you're keeping well. Yes - I'm EXTREMELY busy. No idea how I found time to work / turn up!
Great stuff...awesome..I want to fly...I want to learn
I hope you do!

Thanks Louie, I'm sure you'll get some good weather soon - probably when ours turns to rubbish!
Nice 👍
First time I think I heard you swear at someone, Darren! Loved the video. Thanks!
Thank you :-) I called him an idiot - is that swearing? You should hear all the swear words that go on inside my head... ;-)

Glad to see you back in the air!
Cheers! I do seem to get quite a bit of flying in...
Just home from work, perfect timing Darren.
I'm working around you ;-)

cool video! thank you for it! I'm just learning to find the ascending streams, I hope to find myself in the same stream with you someday)
That would be great!
"Conditions are good enough. I just need to be good enough for the conditions" 🤣
Turns out... I wasn't! ;-)
The trick with the tractor works! I've had it twice. Both times a low save at about 150m and than scratching up. :-)
Yeah - it's worked lots of times for me. Sometimes you see a cloud forming and a tractor beneath it - so just aim for a line between the two
Great video thanks. What do the bleeps indicate on your computer? Altitude or airspeed?

grt vid Darren hope ths is not a repetative question Iknow one wire connection is for radio so what is the other wire for? thanks Bob cheers

Thank you Liger King! And of course I'll be happy to help - get in touch as soon as you start flying :-)
@@MooSurfer , I sure will. Thanks again for all you do to bring entertainment to our homes as well as take us on your sky journeys.
How do you get back to your car?!😅
Sometimes I land back at my car, but on a cross country flight in the UK I arrange for my car to follow me!
