Great ETT breakdown. I had my first code as a medic and cuff size on my 85kg patient went out the window. Luckily my paramedic partner was there to remind me. It was a great refresher going through a lecture on just the tube alone. Thank you.
Thank you... Thank you.... Thank you so much for creating and sharing all these videos with us!!!! I am starting PACU next week and I am nervous.... I worked in an ER, but we were a community hospital with two larger hospitals ( one being a trauma center,) literally up the block!! I need all the help I can get!!
You are very welcome Carla. Truly my pleasure to be able to help with these videos. Best of luck in your transition! I'm sure you will do great. Most people seem to really enjoy PACU.
I just did a job shadow for a nurse tech position in the ICU while I’m in nursing school. This series came at the perfect time for me. So good, seems like this is just the start of my ICU career.
Not necessarily, but almost always we do because otherwise you have to sit and bag the patient. The vent is much more convenient and has protections and safety mechanisms in place.
