It’s so important to have these Old Testament connections, it gets us closer to the mindset of Jesus and His disciples. Their worldview is built on that foundation, they would have been seeing these connections while walking with Jesus just as we do who know the old testament. I always get chocked up and excited seeing these scenes. Adds a whole new level of depth and I’m sure, adds curiosity to those who are just learning.

I grew up in the Moravian Church I attended church regularly until I was 13 and I drifted away from God for a long-time committed sin in HS and in college and at one point I was so miserable and sad inside that I lost my devoted faith for some time I wasn't living a life God wanted me to live I started questioning my faith with Christ because I had no accountability over my own life. But now I'm 24 and I've decided to attend church regularly again, read the Bible for the First time and watch shows like the Chosen other Christian documentaries on the Old/New Testament and I'm learning so much more about Christ! Everything makes so much more sense to me now compared to when I was younger and didn't understand the Bible as well. I truly believe I'm growing closer with him every day I never want to Stray away from God's love again. God Bless you all!
The Lord is with you always... nice to see that you're wide awake and well connected with The Lord. You are redeemed. Saved. You are within His hands. God bless you, my brother.
The Angel Network is already supporting a 3D animated series of David. :) But I have a feeling it may take more than 7 seasons to tackle David if Jesus' 3 years of ministry too that much! 😂
The David portrayal was weak. Didn’t convincingly reflect a multifaceted warrior and leader who was denied the desire to build the temple because of his bloodshed at his hands, directly and indirectly. Seemed more like a scribe.
These Old Testament scenes give so much background information to the New Testament stories. I love them and wish that they would make an Old Testament series after the New Testament one is done!
I really appreciate the interpretations, the way the scenes bring an added value of humanity and 'time-boundness' to the OT passages. (Moses, Joshua, and the bronze snake was wonderful, and oh, the Well of Jacob and 'He chose us' sent shivers down my spine - as doubtless it was meant to.) And I'm tickled that I watch the various OT scenes and can guess which gospel passage is being referenced even without having seen the series. Even from watching the various clips and commentaries, I'm abjectly enjoying the way The Chosen takes the gospel accounts and forms them into a narrative which is both biblically and contextually enlightening, as well as enjoyable and entertaining. Well done! 🥰
Correction Jesus Christ is of both Judah and Levi (the Levitical priest tribe) as was his Mother Mary, which is why he can claim being Kings of Kings (Judah king line) and Lord of Lord (Levitical priest line)
Now reading more of the Old Testament now at 1 Samuel to 24: so far I understand it more and feel more towards a connection to the Old Testament. Thank You Jesus✝️
