Fun fact about the Cerberus shuttle, there’s a quest on Kadara about some Cerberus holdouts. Basically they want to hack Sam because of how project overlord ended, but if you want to know details go and play the quest. It starts on the citadel thing, just look for a broken avina, you can’t miss it
I think you're mixing two separate missions up. There's "The Firefighters" mission, which deals with a little bit of Project Overlord's fallout. And another one wholly on Kadara, "Mind Games", that has two former members of Cerberus experimenting on an asari, krogan, and a salerian.
@@deathdisclover999 no, I was just talking about the one related to project overlord. I just said kadara because it was mostly centered around it. You are right tho, there are 2 missions involving former cerberus members with one being 100% on kadara
I didn't notice that Cerberus shuttle until like my 3rd time through the game, and I always just assumed it belonged to those two scientists in the quest "Mind Games".
I liked Andromeda when it came out and then when I replayed it years later I became almost obsessed with it. It's such a good game and I want more of it's plot and setting.
Agreed. Game would be mich better if EA didnt abandon it. Wasnt a perfect game but definitely not as bad as some of the reviews. Felt like it was a great opening story to a new M.E. universe
Happy you enjoyed it but I didn’t. I finished it and haven’t thought about it since. In fact I can’t even remember the plot, that’s how forgettable the game was for me.
What did you like about it? For me I didn't like any of the crew and the story was so lackluster. Adding really only one new species (Which was only to be a damsel in distress) and not being a pathfinder, because you go down to established settlements all the time. (Krogan, Angara, Exile). I'm not even gonna touch the animations/bugs. The core of the game felt like they were too scared to take risks and just made a indie version of the trilogy haha.
With all it´s flaws, I absolutely LOVE the main theme. They really nailed the slow, space-atmosphere-inducing piano themes, the bass, the it starts cascading to this epic medley.. Really amazing piece of music.
It always struck me as like waking up: you open your eyes, slowly, and see the world around you. You think you’re dreaming, you think “no, this can’t be real” But it is. You’re awake, but the dream hasn’t ended. It’s only just begun
There’s actually a few sidequests in which you can interact with some cerberus agents or former agents on Kadara. One group is attempting to hack sam node, and another is testing mind control on outcasts.
Theres nothing wrong with Andromeda, every one made the mistake of assuming it was a sequal to ME:3, it had an improved UI to ME:3 and a few other things going for it. I'd like to see a sequal to ME:A
Nothing wrong? Writing that ranged from Mediocre to horrendous. Facial Animation that looked like pre-alpha and needed about 3 more years of work. The only thing Andromeda did better than the Original Trilogy was its Combat and Movement.
@@Shadowpack95 the writing really isn’t that much worse than the original trilogy, I think it was the execution from voice actors that lacked on dialogue. The actual story writing was only barely sub par to mass effect 2’s whole “your alive again” “go fight completely new alien” writing
I'd love to see a video on the benefactor. Andromeda's writing was a mixed bag and only occasionally good (basically in the loyalty missions), but I think it did get a lot more things right overall than people give it credit for.
The only thing good about Andromeda is the gameplay and crafting system all the rest is pure crap, to not be completely unfair the OST is ok, but the rest is crap...
I always find that weird. People praise the gameplay AKA the most important part of a game then say the game is bad because the less important aspects aren't as good as the previous games.
@@roguerifter9724 buddy, the problem is that gameplay doesn't have MEANINGFUL REWARDS, you know what meaningful rewards are? No, they aren't armor or weapons, it is the story, no problem for folks who like play games just for the adrenaline, but if i want to play games for the adrenaline, i would play Fortnite, not MASS EFFECT, thats not WHY i would pay for a Mass Effect game, theres far better games in terms of gameplay than Andromeda, and if i want to play a game with adrenaline pumping gameplay, i would buy CoD, not Mass Effect! You know, the first games have a shit gameplay, seriously crappy, in fact from all the original trilogy, the crappiest gameplay is from ME 2, but guess what game is consider the best from the trilogy? YES it IS ME2! Do i said that Mass Effect should have crappy gameplay? No, but not at the cost of the STORY! Andromeda is an abomination is ME in name only, it takes all the lore all the world building an throw in a sinkwhole that is Andromeda? Did you relize that ALL star systens in ME trilogy are actually real? You can find every single star in the game in the night sky? Everything in Andromeda is all made up, theres nothing relatable in that galaxy aside from the galaxy itself... Also, what about the lore and world building that ME is so famous for? Vast majority of the lore is the same from the previous games, in wich each entry Bioware actually take their time to UPDATE the whole codex qith the lore from the previous games, in Andromeda? The little lore we have is a bunch of bs, it isn't worth reading all that crap, theres no depth to it, and variety? We have only tree races in Andromeda, wich were actually one and the same! And my god, they suck... the villains can't be more cliche even if you try hard to make cliche villains, and the friendly race couldn't be more boring and cliche to! Seriously, if you want defend the gameplay of Andromeda, fine by me, but don't pretend that this is what actually makes a great Mass Effect game, because the numbers speak for themselves...
By that logic tons of video games considered great are actually horrible. Pretty much every beat'em up, fighting game, platformer, run and gun game, and many other genres usually have poor stories, and often little or no characterizations so why are they not considered awful while Andromeda gets bashed to hell and back because its story and characters aren't as good as earlier games in the series? Hell most genres I only seriously consider the story theme, and characters if I'm debating between buying two games in the genre and the prices are similar.
I absolutely loved Andromeda. The gameplay, customization, crafting, exploration, platforming, all of it was the best in the series. I think it got an unfair rep right out the jump simply because no Shep and no Normandy. I played it at release and didn't have a single glitch through my whole playthrough on xbox. One of my favorite Mass Effect games. And Mass Effect is my favorite franchise.
I love the game and the general storyline (I rank the games from best to worst 1,A,3,2) but dang, some characters seem to be programmed/written to be annoying and unlovable. Hating Ryder for the sake of hating is not good writing.
All you mentioned is gameplay, something that never was the focus of Mass Effect franchise, yes Andromeda is a technical marvel, but lacks the soul of ME franchise, even ME3 isn't a completely trainwreck in this regard, only the ending is. Andromeda leaves a bad taste on your mouth, it is great in technical terms, but pointless in what trully matters in a ME game, and no I'm not complaining about the premise, the premise is actually good, but all the rest is crap.
I both agree and disagree. I enjoyed ME:A, but I could only play through it twice before I got very sick of it. I found it boring, the characters, especially Ryder, had no personality. I found him/her to be very bland. The same reactions to everything. The storyline was brilliant I thought, but they could have done so much more with it… the supporting characters (especially Liam) I found to be very standard and underwhelming. The customisation, exploration, the idea of the jumpjets and the Sam scanner and all I thought were really cool, and I enjoyed playing it ultimately, i just think it was the characters that ruined it for me… I didn’t find it as good as the original trilogy.
Over quarantine I played Mass Effect Andromeda for the first time and I was shocked by how good it was. From how people talked about it I expected it to be bad. It just wasn't Mass Effect 4 which is what I think people wanted.
Andromeda is a good game. Has some really great mechanics such as the movement options in the gun fights and not locked into one class. The characters aren't bad either, not as flushed out as I would like but they aren't terrible or too annoying. Even the story isn't bad. It gets a lot of flack for being too different but it is supposed to be. The ME Trilogy is a war game where Andromeda is supposed to be a exploration game. If they leaned more toward exploration and discovery, scaled down the world size (outside of the jungle planet it was perfect) so they weren't as large, and added more hands on planet development it would be a great game. Some of the mission designs should be changed but with a smaller world map most of them would fix themselves. Sorry for the rant.
The characters were the worst part of the whole game! Especially Ryder, Cora and omg don’t even get me started on Liam. Boring, lacking depth and completely unrelatable. Annoying doesn’t even come close IMO. I didn’t mind that It was different but I could not get invested in those characters.. and because of that, the story just wasn’t worth following. 🤷🏼♀️
I loved the movement and gunplay of andromeda. I’d like that type of gameplay to cross over to the new game. There were moments where the games story was actually good to. I played it after playing the trilogy remaster, and while it definitely wasn’t as good as those, I was still able to play it, finish it, and was even disappointed that we never got the DLC for the Quarian ark
I initially tried to play this when it first released and couldn't get in to it at all. It took until I played through the Legendary Trilogy recently to give it another go. It definitely felt the (Mass) effect of coming off the original Trilogy, but it is still a great game nonetheless.
Gameplay is a bit hit or miss for me, love the mobility but getting only 3 powers per build is kinda meh and we cannot control teammate power usage which is dumb as hell. Also guns felt a lot weaker than the trilogy, they also sound like airsoft guns compared to the glorious sounds in ME3 and overall enemies were huge damage sponges. Also the fact that you can acces all powers in the game no matter what class you start as completely kills replayability imo, at least it makes it more bearable to pIaythrough I suppose. I honestly really like Ryder, he's just a fairly normal dude compared to Shepard who can be a Mary Sue who's approaching to godhood, getting rid of the Paragon/Renegade aka Good or Bad semi-metagaming was a great move though and they better not bring that shit back. Is is sad that EA pulled the plug on the game but we can at least hope it will be somewhat connected to the new game and not just abandoned.
Honestly i never was able to finish this game, the first time i played i went almost close to the ending but i was so burn out that i start to question my life decisions... Then i try to play again two more times but get bored basically in the first missions...
@@Tacticaviator7 yeah, Bioware get rid of paragon / renegade system alongside any agency that comes along with it... Nice move EA/ Bioware... It would be better keep the paragon / renegade system, than pull a Fallout 4 mood response system that doesn't fkg affect anything. Thats precisly why today i tell that CDPR knows way better how to write characters and stories better than Bioware, even in the infamous Cyberpunk 2077 your character has far more agency than characters in MEA.
I absolutely loved Andromeda, one secret you missed is all the references to Star Wars in Liam's loyalty mission. I really hope you do another video cause the game deserves more love I think.
Tons of Star Wars references and a reference to Big Trouble in Little China with the gun behind the door. Hilarious Mission and one of the best missions in all of Mass Effect
There's a few dialogue Easter eggs with characters you can encounter! Kandros on the Nexus is the cousin of Nyreen Kandros who both appeared and died in the Omega DLC. On Kadara there's a woman who is the sister of Conrad Verner. She mentions how he was part of the reason she left the Milky Way. In the intro mission, Liam makes a comment about the Geth. These are just the ones I've found in my currently two completed playthroughs. I'll probably find more the more I play.
It's likely from in-game info that Cerberus may have had something to do with setting up the Andromeda Initiative. A shuttle or two flying their colors might indicate that.
They're literally in the game. There's an entire quest line, (actually at least 2) devoted to intervening in their attempts to do things like hacking a SAM node and mind control people.
it is clear to see if you spend enough time to look for every codex and listen to all the npc chatter even a few key people mention seeing them moving in the shadows as in shit happening that cant be just work of the exiled group also the entire exile crap is so like them messing with the norm and something they would do to try and gain control
Cerberus is in Mass Effect: Andromeda, you can encounter some scientists on kadara doing experiments with mind control. I wouldn't be surprised if the ship was intentional.
I would like to hear about who the Benefactor might be, and would also like a part two for Andromeda, please? 😁 I wasn't as big of a fan as I was for the original trilogy, but I am still a die hard Mass Effect fan nonetheless, and still love hearing anything and everything about the series. Thank you for another excellent video 👍
Once I stopped comparing Andromeda to the OT, and they fixed all the bugs, it was enjoyable to me. I loved the combat but the writing wasn't the best. I think I missed the conversation with Avitus Rix. At least I don't remember it. I'll have to play it again. I would also love a more in depth look into who the benefactor could be. I never solved Jien Garson's murder.
There are a couple of quests that relate directly to cerberus. One is Firefighters which is triggered by talking to the faulty Avina on the Nexus and the other is stumbling upon 3 supposedly sick individuals on Kadara in a home. You are led to a Cerberus base ran by two people who left Cerberus.....they mention Miranda and project Lazarus and how it would never have worked. I dunno but I feel the benefactor was The Illusive Man.......the whole Gien Garson questline is so creepy. Also hearing the Galaxy wide alert about the reapers....
I dont think the benefactor would be the Illusive Man simply because he wouldnt have prioritized sending other races and would have focused soley on humans. Beyond that, it just doesn't feel like a Cerberus op? Not only did the benefactor not start the project themselves, it doesn't seem like them to be anonymous in their own project.
One little fun fact/secret : Cora last name is Harper which is the same as the original last name of the Illusive Man, this led to believe that she might be his daughter and secretly working for him (also might be the unkown benefactor) but that was never adressed in the game by the devs & writters
The Cerberus shuttle is interesting because the varient of the Kodiak used by the Andromeda Initiative is the UT-47 Kodiak SH3. Where as the Kodiak seen on Kadara is an NS1 varient which was the varient from ME2 and ME3. The SH3 has a bulkier aft section with dual exhausts on their rear thrusters
Fun fact, in ME3 when speaking to squadmates/crew about recurring characters like Jack or Garrus, much of the early dialogue mocks certain voice lines or interactions in previous titles. I’m sure some players will know this but many won’t or just mash skip through every cutscene.
My theory a about the unique shuttle at kadara is that it is a shuttle that belongs to ex Cerberus that managed to escape from Cerberus like the group of scientists that you meet doing the brain control experimentation on kadara
I'm a huge fan of pvz GW 1 and 2, probably one of the best players still playing to this day, and I absolutely loved seeing scientist in a plushie form. The Z7 mech was cool as well, and as a fun fact, Z7 imp is the best character in the game
The biggest secret I noticed was that Cora and The Illusive Man have the same last name. I very much doubt that's a coincidence. Since easter eggs were included in this secrets list, one I thought was pretty cool, is a Krogan in the flophouse called Strongjaw Grog. This is a nod to a twitch channel called critical role, and now a nod to The Legend of Vox Machina.
Sorry if some has already said this, but the 50/50 shock thing that the Salarian mentions is a reference to a psychological study about obeying authority by Milgram back in the 60s (maybe 70s?), where people were told to "shock someone in the next room", and they tested to see how high they could get the participants to make the shock strength (the other person was just a recording of screaming).
In fact Cerberus was aware of the Andromeda project and i am sure they wanted to be a part of it. There are many clues for that, also there are few quest about them. In my opinion the benefactor is the shadow broker
I know theres a very vocal portion of the fanbase who still hate this game even in its current pretty damn nice state, but I love it so much. People keep saying stuff like "Its a good game, not a good Mass Effect game!" but like... thats the point of making it a spin-off. Idk. I always saw what the idea was and appreciated it for what it was. I love this game for what it is and I am thankful to you for giving us this secret video even though you evidently dont love it :) It is appreciated
There's a really funny DA Easter egg when you finish the game. In the same system as Meridian's Core, there's a cheese wheel just floating in space. Also, on Havarl near the first monolith where you rescue scientists from stasis, there's a shallow cave with a remnant console. Activating it leads to a short but fun stranger hunt and jumping puzzles leading to some nice loot at the end.
Nailing my colours to the mast I love Andromeda I see alot of people comparing it to the original trilogy which I feel is unfair as I believe it should only be compared to the original as it's what was the 1st game in what was supposed to be a new trilogy, and I think in many ways it supassed the original ME certainly its gameplay and customisation options were far supperior and I think it did a good job setting up a new enemy, I've also seen many people complain that you can't explore the whole Galaxy which I personally think is a good thing as 1. They don't have anything like the mass relays 2. the first thing they would want to do is familiarise themselves with local space and any local specieswhilst also finding the other arcs and trying to learn more about the scourge which tself would hinder Galactic travel so only having a relativly small area to explore makes perfect sense at least to me and as it is a relatively small area it also makes sense that there would only be one native species however there is one complaint, I see that I do have to agree with and thats the characters are just not as well written as the originals, sadly we are unlikely to see this story playout where the mysteries that are started in this game are solved and expanding the explorable area of the Andromeda galaxy and meeting more new species and hopefully getting the writing and portrayal of the characters down as even ME1 didn't get its characters perfect right out the gate but got them pinned down in ME2
I loved Andromeda and always will. I played through all the trilogy multiple times. You cannot ever compare one game of one star cluster to a 3 game trilogy but you can compare Andromeda possibly to ME1 which I will say that ME1 is one of the games I have disliked the most everytime I played it... sadly I never enjoyed it to this day.
the reason for so many shuttles having the colours of that rather bad group is explained in a few codex entries and by finding all the memory fragments its explained that over half of the ships they took with them were brought from that company on the cheap and this also ties back to a codex that is missable in the other mass effect games All 3 that that company had ties to a legit company working on a plan to expand the reach of humans to other galaxies but lost contact with their imbedded people a yr into the mission
OK so I ONLY want you to read this if you want MAJOR spoilers on the possible identity of The Benefactor: There is one person I can tell who fits the bill for everything occurring here, and I think maybe we all missed it. There is a good reason everybody suspects The Illusive Man & Cerberus. The Benefactor is the one singular person in the Mass Effect universe with access to both the finances of the big money player behind Cerberus's giant money hole AND the inner workings of the Cerberus operation it appears. They also know Shephard and believe his accusations fully about the coming of the Reapers. While the Illusive Man is a good guess, I think the Benefactor is actually Miranda Lawson. She has a scene where it SEEMS like she may have died, but if you look at it again, it really doesn't make sense that she would have DIED there. More importantly, Shephard's last words to her were "Come on Miranda, let's get you out of here." It may mean so she can get a proper burial, but it may also be she is still ALIVE. The scene simply fades to black. It wouldn't be stretch to say IF Miranda is still alive that SHE is the Benefactor, if she managed to later get control of both Cerberus AND Henry Lawson's fortune and used them to start the Initiative. The fourth memory where you finally hear the conversation between Alex Ryder and The Benefactor DEFINITELY sounds like it could be Miranda and she knows exactly how Cerberus operates. The whole Initiative was definitely a Cerberus OP, it has their fingerprints all over it. Cerberus loves exploiting desperate people in need of a chance and that's exactly what Alex Ryder was. But everybody thinks she is dead. This is why it feels like the Illusive Man but doesn't quite make sense, yet has Cerberus all over it. Miranda is definitely one to have this kinda backup plan and this much belief in Shephard to make all this happen.
Are you talking about Priority: Horizon in ME3? Because if so that's impossible as the Initiative left before that. The Initiative left in 2185 whilst the Reaper War begins in 2186.
A few rebuttals: 1. The developers themselves said that Cerberus has nothing to do with the Andromeda Initiative; 2. Benefactor began sponsoring the Initiative before the events of ME1, before Shepard learned about the Reapers; 3. Well, as they said above, the Arks flew to Andromeda before the events of ME3
I've always thought the Benefactor was another Cerberus Cell. Someone who was in the same position as the Illusive Man, but worked separately from him. Saw what was coming and decided to fund a way out while also seeing it as a way to spread Cerberus influence to another galaxy. Killing Gene Garson who was probably the only one who knew who they were. But also, I feel like I may be giving too much credit to the writers who seemed to have little to no passion on Mass Effect Andromeda. Still, the initiative sounds like an idea Cerberus would jump on, being far, far away from the laws and territories of the other races who would want to stop them from doing what they do.
if Bioware will be true to their words that Andromeda will be part of the next Mass Effect game, I hope the Benefactor will be the link between the original trilogy and Andromeda. This was one of the missions that I enjoyed uncovering. I have a feeling that the Benefactor is linked with the original Shadow Broker, when Alec is communicating with them it is the same with the shadow broker's.
I actually really liked this game. My only complaint was that most of the worlds were too similar. I get why people would have preferred to play as Shepard but it felt like that story had run its course and this was an elegant solution to avoid having to choose a "canon" ending to the trilogy. Though, it looks like they're going to be going that route in the next game anyway.
I can suggest some details/ secrets for your next video. As you progress through the game and start learning more about Alex Ryder you come across and email from garrus vakerian's father mentioning everyone's favorite turrian. If I recall correctly on the desert planet with the krogran Dr okeer is mentioned about his work. If I do remember correctly Kora the human asari huntress is the daughter to the illusive man she mentions it if you choose to romance her I believe( my whole reason aside from getting the achievement) And finally while not hidden in anyway once you beat the game your ships doctor sends you the psych evaluation she has been doing on you. Depending on which dialogue you picked the most in the game determines your profile and how she views you.
Tbh Andromeda had great mechanics and I liked how you could make your Pathfinder basically OP in regards to powers, I liked the blink skill cause I feel as tho Vanguards and Biotics in ME3 needed that skill just cause of their biotic capabilities. But Andromeda should have expanded the power wheel tho
7:30 I'm sure I remember a short mission about a couple of Cerberus scientists on Kadara where they were doing mind control experimentation on a group. Something relating to project overlord but I skipped over most of it tbh.
one thing ive noticed when crafting gears, the weapon blueprints available from the milkyway, that specific list has a lot of Cerberus standart issue gear
true most of the stuff sent with them was From Cerberus even the armor has a style that is sort of the same one of the reasons i liked the game even with its flaws was it still had my fav gun the mattock which like in 3 when fully maxed out was so op it could be the only weapon you ever needed
Alot of DLC ideas come to mind. If they hadn't of given up on the game we woulda had the emergence of cerberus trying to do what they do. We obviously had the 3rd ark story we ended up getting as a comic, we coulda had a returning ME1/2/3 characters and so much more. Also I believe the benefactor was liara post me2 shadowbroker. With the resources she had avaliable at this time and her knowing if the coming reaper invasion I think she was behind the andromeda trek as an attempt of survival for the raves.
That is totally a cerberus shuttle. Multiple quests involve cerberus agents (allegedly ex agents) or those who were involved with cerberus projects, like project overlord.
I'm honestly split on Andromeda as a whole. It clearly did somethings right, but also had been in development hell. As a side note the I have always loved the premise of Andromeda, it just fumbled the landing.
Well I'm pretty sure it's not Liara. One is that she in MEA as a recording and when they leave the milky way in the beginning it is said that they left between ME1 and 2 so it would still be the of shadow broker. Cool idea though 👍☺️
@@thatredhead3613 I figured that it just seemed liked the shadow broker. That and one of the clues seemed like the specter that tried to blow up her apartment. But as I said I thought probably not. But it would be cool tho
the benefactor was the ilusive man i got that within the first few memories as the amount of funding was too high for it to be anyone else and also a line in the mars mission in 3 confirmed this when one of the enemies mentions that they wonder what happened to cause a coms blackout with the Andromeda team sent to ensure the funding was used they way the company wanted it to be
But why would the illusive man provide funding for any species other than humans? I mean sure there are tons of individuals from other species that were helpful to the initiative but from his perspective that would still jeopardize humanities dominance. Not saying it's not him, just saying it would imply that he had a massive change of heart on multiple fronts
@@SeverusHunt they may of but pay attention to the game itself and you can see it was not to mention the group that first made the Mattock was them well explain how the Initiative got their hands on them at least 10 yrs before they were even on any market or used outside of Cerberus not to mention tons of other things that they were involved in that are mentioned in the game and point to Cerberus being involved even just as background funding or equipment
This is in the same category as the N7 Piranha shotgun. In ME3 it is written that this shotgun was developed during the war with the Reapers. The shotgun could not get on the Arks that flew away before the events of ME3. By the way, here is another argument against the fact that Cerberus sponsored the Initiative. The Initiative was originally a human project. But Benefactor insisted that alien races be added to the Initiative. This is so similar to Cerberus... Instead of saving tens of thousands of humans, they save tens of thousands of aliens...
My only issue with andromeda is the disrespect to the Krogan and making the Salerians stupid tall after 3 games of Krogan being scary and imposing, and Salerians agile and intelligent.
ME:Andromeda, for all of it's flaws, it *tries*. It may not nearly compare to its predecessors, some may even argue it's not worth of the name, but it's got a charm of it's own. I've done three playthroughs and what little updates Bioware did to fix the game did in fact make it a better experience, but it will always be saddening that they gave up entirely. The Quarian Arc DLC was left to a book, there won't be a sequel. Don't hate the game, feel bad for what happened to it.
I didn't think it was as bad as people said. I didn't play it when it came out though and only the last few years so I missed many of the problems people said they had.
Poor writing or not, the benefactor is the Illusive man. Theres nobody else we know that has the money, knowledge and resources for such a scale in the ME universe.
Not even a certain Asari archeologist with the resources of, say, a shadowy network? Though, I admit, the Illusive Man is more likely but it doesn't make sense that he would have included the other species in the program.
@@drewtheunspoken3988 No, not Liara. The reason behind that is that the Andromeda Initiative left the Milky Way between ME1 and ME2, IIRC. The devs confirmed it once. Liara would not have enough resources before the end of ME2.
@@TheLaur200 I forgot that. I think the launch was supposed to be in the two year gap when Shepard died the first time. I kept thinking it was between 2 and 3.

I think the next game would connect both universes. Or at least that's what I'm hoping for but Bioware hinted at that.
@@JPS47 hope they rewrite Ryder I’d they are included
@@sjisjsissk I think if there was a MEA sequel Ryder would have evolved into something closer to Shepard
@@efxnews4776 You're exaggerating. At worst it was mediocre.
Agreed. This game doesn't get enough love than it deserves. I recommend any Mass Effect fan to play it at least once.
Man, Andromeda deserved so much better than it got.
@@Tacticaviator7 Depends on the weapons...I found handguns and snipers overpowered
Given bioware's current writing quality I fully expect the benefactor to end up being Liara or something
I wanna see another ME: Andromeda game soon. To many mysteries left unexplained.
Unpopular opinion, I actually like Andromeda. It's not that bad. Is it the Mass Effect trilogy? No. But it's really not as bad as everyone says it is.
Completely agree with you
There's a few dialogue Easter eggs with characters you can encounter!
@@LuciusNox Well that group is ex-Cerberus. The leader left after what happened to her son. They were more just an anti AI group.
@@MandalorV7 that's fair, but the connection is still there.
@MikefromTexas1 The developers said that Cerberus has nothing to do with the Initiative
Cerberus is in Mass Effect: Andromeda, you can encounter some scientists on kadara doing experiments with mind control. I wouldn't be surprised if the ship was intentional.
I smiled when I completed the ex Cerberus scientists mission, and they mentioned losing faith in the Illusive Man and "that Lawson woman".
I would like to hear about who the Benefactor might be, and would also like a part two for Andromeda, please? 😁
I wasn't as big of a fan as I was for the original trilogy, but I am still a die hard Mass Effect fan nonetheless, and still love hearing anything and everything about the series.
I'll be damned. Didn't expect an andromeda video from you Fizhy. But I'm excited non the less.
How to tell the devs are a gen apart:
ME2: Baldurs Gate, Luna CCCP
MEA: Plants VS Zombies, Space X
that bunk with the plants vs zombies is Cora's there is a very rare chance of it coming up as party banter about it being weird she sleeps with them
There are a couple of quests that relate directly to cerberus.
The developers said that Cerberus has nothing to do with the Initiative
I dont think the benefactor would be the Illusive Man simply because he wouldnt have prioritized sending other races and would have focused soley on humans. Beyond that, it just doesn't feel like a Cerberus op? Not only did the benefactor not start the project themselves, it doesn't seem like them to be anonymous in their own project.
One little fun fact/secret : Cora last name is Harper which is the same as the original last name of the Illusive Man, this led to believe that she might be his daughter and secretly working for him (also might be the unkown benefactor) but that was never adressed in the game by the devs & writters
The unknown benefactor was supposed to be one of the 3 cancelled DLC's. Don't think we'll ever find out unfortunately.
Tali: Neeeerrrrrd!
PLEASE do a video on the Benefactor mystery.
I just started playing Mass Effect a week ago, so to suddenly see these videos pop up from you is amazing. It was fate!
Not fate ..... it's the fact ur playing it that u would see video about it
I'm a huge fan of pvz GW 1 and 2, probably one of the best players still playing to this day, and I absolutely loved seeing scientist in a plushie form. The Z7 mech was cool as well, and as a fun fact, Z7 imp is the best character in the game
7:30 I find that interesting considering in the Kadara Badlands there are 2
ex-cerebrus agents performing experiments on subjects in the area.
I love this game for what it is and I am thankful to you for giving us this secret video even though you evidently dont love it :) It is appreciated
mass effect andromeda was alright as a spinoff

Such a fun game after being fix .... doesn't compare to the 3 og but happy the 4th will tie in to this one too
There's a really funny DA Easter egg when you finish the game.
I loved Andromeda!! Sadly due to toxic fandom we had the conclusion scrapped!!!
I think the is benefactorous commander shepherd.
I definitely would like an "in depth" with the benefactor. I've got crazy not finding out what it was about...
They don't have anything like the mass relays 2. the first thing they would want to do is familiarise themselves with local space and any local specieswhilst also finding the other arcs and trying to learn more about the scourge which tself would hinder Galactic travel so only having a relativly small area to explore makes perfect sense at least to me and as it is a relatively small area it also makes sense that there would only be one native species however there is one complaint, I see that I do have to agree with and thats the characters are just not as well written as the originals, sadly we are unlikely to see this story playout where the mysteries that are started in this game are solved and expanding the explorable area of the Andromeda galaxy and meeting more new species and hopefully getting the writing and portrayal of the characters down as even ME1 didn't get its characters perfect right out the gate but got them pinned down in ME2
I love this game, especially on PC with a few modes that clean up the graphics and gameplay. Thanks for the video.
I for one would enjoy a video on the benefactor but then again i just enjoy your videos in general.
OK so I ONLY want you to read this if you want MAJOR spoilers on the possible identity of The Benefactor:
There is one person I can tell who fits the bill for everything occurring here, and I think maybe we all missed it.
A few rebuttals:
1. The developers themselves said that Cerberus has nothing to do with the Andromeda Initiative;
2. Benefactor began sponsoring the Initiative before the events of ME1, before Shepard learned about the Reapers;
The developers said that Cerberus has nothing to do with the Andromeda Initiative
@@SeverusHunt Nevertheless, its better than what we got. :p
if Bioware will be true to their words that Andromeda will be part of the next Mass Effect game, I hope the Benefactor will be the link between the original trilogy and Andromeda. I actually really liked this game. My only complaint was that most of the worlds were too similar.
I get why people would have preferred to play as Shepard but it felt like that story had run its course and this was an elegant solution to avoid having to choose a "canon" ending to the trilogy. Though, it looks like they're going to be going that route in the next game anyway.
thank you for including Andromeda
I can suggest some details/ secrets for your next video. As you progress through the game and start learning more about Alex Ryder you come across and email from garrus vakerian's father mentioning everyone's favorite turrian.
If I recall correctly on the desert planet with the krogran Dr okeer is mentioned about his work.
If I do remember correctly Kora the human asari huntress is the daughter to the illusive man she mentions it if you choose to romance her I believe( my whole reason aside from getting the achievement)
And finally while not hidden in anyway once you beat the game your ships doctor sends you the psych evaluation she has been doing on you.

Something relating to project overlord but I skipped over most of it tbh.
you can find zaeed's son on one of the planets too, also conrad verner's sister who's just as smart as he was

one thing ive noticed when crafting gears, the weapon blueprints available from the milkyway, that specific list has a lot of Cerberus standart issue gear
true most of the stuff sent with them was From Cerberus even the armor has a style that is sort of the same one of the reasons i liked the game even with its flaws was it still had my fav gun the mattock which like in 3 when fully maxed out was so op it could be the only weapon you ever needed
Benefactor began sponsoring the Initiative before the events of ME1.

props to you for explaining the title lol
But the irony with the N7 on armor. The Pathfinder armor set has it on the chest piece, but he doesn't comment on that.
The ending should be one of the secrets because most people didn't finish the game
I would like to see a Benefactor video
We need a Part-2!
I think the #1 is the good story that was hidden somewhere in the games files.
I'm honestly split on Andromeda as a whole. It clearly did somethings right, but also had been in development hell.
As a side note the I have always loved the premise of Andromeda, it just fumbled the landing.
A video about the benefactor would be interesting.
Sounds like the shadow broker which also leads me to believe it’s Liara
Well I'm pretty sure it's not Liara. One is that she in MEA as a recording and when they leave the milky way in the beginning it is said that they left between ME1 and 2 so it would still be the of shadow broker.
Cool idea though 👍☺️

I figured that it just seemed liked the shadow broker. That and one of the clues seemed like the specter that tried to blow up her apartment.
But as I said I thought probably not. But it would be cool tho
Benefactor began sponsoring the Initiative before the events of ME1
the benefactor was the ilusive man i got that within the first few memories as the amount of funding was too high for it to be anyone else and also a line in the mars mission in 3 confirmed this when one of the enemies mentions that they wonder what happened to cause a coms blackout with the Andromeda team sent to ensure the funding was used they way the company wanted it to be
But why would the illusive man provide funding for any species other than humans? I mean sure there are tons of individuals from other species that were helpful to the initiative but from his perspective that would still jeopardize humanities dominance. Not saying it's not him, just saying it would imply that he had a massive change of heart on multiple fronts
@@mrflufflebunny4529 he did many weird things over the yrs
The developers themselves said that Cerberus has nothing to do with the Andromeda Initiative
Andromeda was a nice idea with a good foundation. Unfortunately it was rushed out and isn’t to the same quality as the Shepard trilogy.
And they gave up on this for Anthem...
Let's just admit this game has some amazing music
Please look into the benefactor, also because im bias, look into all the new mass effect stuff, and the defiance of humanity in andromeda
I hope Bioware don't repeat themselves with Mass Effect 4/5 or whatever it is
The benefactor is probably the illusive man before he was indoctrinated or the shadow broker

2. It’s wrong that the Arks flew away between ME1 and ME2. The developers themselves said that the Arks flew away between ME2 and ME3
@@TheLaur200 Also. The developers said that Cerberus has nothing to do with the Andromeda Initiative
I know not too many ppl loved Andromeda. It was the first time I played mass effect so I liked it more then the first 3 in my opinion.
What does imp mean
@@TheSofkujepanen supposed to be imo, in my opinion sorry 😆
@@TheSofkujepanen In my opinion maybe, just guessing here.
"first 3" so i assume your ranking goes this way ME:LE > ME:A > trilogy
You probably already knew most of the story of the original trilogy when playing it, and the gameplay in andromeda is definately better than the OG trilogy. But the story is miles better in the OG trilogy
More Mass Effect content please
hard to miss something if players never tried to play the thing in the first place
The salerian in the cave, classicc
I never felt right putting on the N7 armor in Andromeda so in all my play throughs I never did.
