I was in Utah this weekend. I went to Antelope Island like you suggested. I didn’t have a lot of time but I got a few birds. Avocet or black necked stilt on the causeway (I get those two confused), northern shoveler, northern harrier, and a few horned larks that did not want to be photographed.
Glad you got to go visit Antelope Island! Such an amazing place! You probably saw both American Avocets and Black-necked Stilts! You just missed out on the Burrowing Owls by a few weeks!
Good morning 🌅 to you from Hong Kong 🇭🇰 SAR. Did you know that recent research suggest that the Belted Kingfisher should be divided into three subfamilies.
2 days ago I went bird ringing for the first time. Such a cool to hold the birds and see them upclose. I got to hold Great tits, blue tits, Eurasian robin and blackap!
That Kingfisher at the beginning looked particularly savage! Always a privilege to see an owl. Cool birds as always!
They are super amazing birds! Was really happy to run into them both!
The Kingfisher was amazing. Been lucky enough to see one here in the UK👍
They are really amazing birds 🤩
I’ll have to check it out when I’m out there next!
It’s an awesome place!!
Belted Kingfishers are the mob enforcers of the bird world.
I originally thought maybe a jay, but I already read the comments!
Spoilers in the comments haha
Belted kingfisher's are always such an incredible bird to see! the black phoebe is super cool too because I don't get to see them up here!
Belted Kingfishers always just give me such a joyful feeling when I see them! With your luck, I'm sure you'll have a Black Phoebe soon ;)
Perfect timing. I'm heading to St. George tomorrow and I was hoping to find a good spot to bird. Thanks.
Amazing! Hope you find some great stuff!

Ohhhhh! Bird ringing means something else in the US so I was confused haha. We call it bird banding here. I bet that was an awesome experience!!
Was that a Bluejay at the end? It didn’t seem blue because of the shade
NVM a mockingbird lol I saw the comments
Haha spoilers in the comments!
Do I get a consultation mystery prize 🎁 for good try … 😅😁
