They are connected! Heavydirtysoul - being driven by a hooded figure (Nico/Blurryface,) he eventually escapes the car. Jumpsuit - leaving the car, runs into the valley, gets captured again, brought to... Nico and the Niners - ...his room in Dema. Escapes with the Banditos right away. Goes through the tunnels outside to... Levitate. Hangs out with the Banditos, gets captured, and brought back to the car in heavydirtysoul.
I don't think he's brought back to heavy dirty soul. Heavy dirty soul and consequently jumpsuit is the start of the cycle where blurryface intitaly takes him from the real world (which represents being mentally healthy) but he's then is stuck between escaping dema to trench and being dragged back to dema at night. That's why he has the drawer full of flowers because he's sent one by vulture one every time the bandito go to break him out of dema.
4:25 His hair was shaved at the start of this video lol. He also shaved his head in Car Radio, which coincidentally he references in this song lyrically as well “I got back what I once bought back in that slot I won’t need to replace” 😏 And yes, the Heavydirtysoul video is considered a kind of prequel to this trilogy because Jumpsuit begins with the burning car from the end of HDS, even though that song was from the previous album.
To me, Tyler getting snatched is about the cycle of depression. Even when he has been "saved" by his friends, the Banditos, and is safe with them he is ripped away from them and pulled back to DEMA (depression, anxiety, etc.).
I also think him not struggling to get away or even looking scared is accurate for a lot of people. When you're stuck in the cycle of depression, it can hit again seemingly at random after doing better for awhile. There can be a feeling of, here we go again, I'll never escape the cycle, might as well just resign myself to that.
You can hear and see in Tyler at the beginning of the song he's very confident bc he's just escaped Dema - he even has a line in there saying he doesn't need his car radio anymore bc he's good now Then as the song goes on he starts to doubt himself - doubts his abilities and song structure - of course these doubts come at night until eventually he's trapped into his bad thoughts again and gets taken back to Dema
These 4 vids - HDS, Jumpsuit, Nico and the Niners, and Levitate really put together an accurate picture of how cyclical our struggles in life can be, whether they're battling internal demons in our minds or in hearts, it's hard to break free. That's why this album takes place in Trench, that's where we fight the battles - in the Trenches. Sometimes with our Bandito posse around us, sometimes on our own, sometimes feeling like we're thrown to the vultures, sometimes being the vultures feeding on our own pain, it's all a battle. But we can rise above it, learn to Levitate with just a little help... 💛
Hey you hit it spot on with the car from Heavy Dirty Soul! Keep going with Trench. Tyler built a world and DEMA is important to all of this! We’re here to help you follow because it’s amazing
When Tyler is lost in his thoughts, he is in danger and susceptible to getting pulled back to Dema. The song references Car Radio. Everything is interconnected and cycles are a recurring theme. As you move into the other lore videos, you will move into the Scaled and Icy album, which was written during quarantine under the control of the Bishops. Their next album will conclude the Dema storyline and Tyler said that he will make the narrative much clearer to tie it all together.
Idk if anyone else has mentioned, but there's a direct reference to Car Radio when Tyler says "In this spot I won't need to replace." Also, he says "...but compensation feels a lot like rising up to dominate by track two...." this song being track two on Trench :) love love love this one. On their livestream show, they did a mashup of Jumpsuit and heavydirtysoul. I screamed 😂
I vaguely remember the "curse from you" part is possibly about asking God to show himself (come down, come down..), and that even a curse would prove to Tyler that God exists. He goes on to say something about his heart being with you (God) but his mind's not made.
To really understand the details of the MVs and their storyline I’d suggest watching a video on YT explaining the story line. But to put this in the simplest terms I can the trilogy (jumpsuit, N&Ners and Levitate) and heavydirty soul is chronicling his struggle with overcoming his mental health struggles. Even when he seemingly escapes he gets pulled back (end of levitate). Again this is just a very basic explanation. It’s so much more deeper tho.
So happy you were able to do this! I love this song, one of my favorites from Trench. I would really recommend learning a bit more about the lore. Not only is it really interesting, it will also help you understand the narrative. For the next ones, I think you would like Morph and the preferences from the Brooklyn sessions and MTV unplugged are incredible.
Awww man you did it 😊 made my entire week! I’m confused half the time also when it comes to the Dema lore, however I’m here for all of it 😂❤ they are so damn talented, can’t help it! KEEP GOING! I suggest, Fall Away Live ft. Dr. Blum on trumpet
We have never really gotten an official explanation of any of their songs aside from the commentary track Tyler did for Vessel, so honestly whatever meaning you draw from a song is valid! Thats the way I have always seen it!
I'm glad you were able to upload this video. I know copyright issues are tiring, but you're doing a good job. Like you said, all these videos are connected, plus Tyler references his old songs Implict demand for proof (when he asks God to come down) and Car Radio (when he says he got back what he bought once). Also, shaving his head is a reference to the clip from this song and may symbolize shame. I see that a lot of people are starting to recommend their latest songs to you, but before you start them, I would advise you to go back a bit to the beginning of their work and do Addict With A Pen, Taxi Cab and Fall Away. These are beautiful songs and you will see how their work has changed over the course of several years. Peace |-/
I love watching you processing all the information!! It's a great journey bro!! ... you have to be prepared and ready for everything in EVERY song, EVERY video!!🎶🎶💖💖💀💀👽👽
There are a lot of layers in the music and videos. They treat their performances as another part of the song's interpretation. There are so many hidden meanings in those lyrics that everyone has a different experience listening to it. Tyler doesn't interpret it for us because it's for us to find the meaning that we need. What's really crazy is there are times when if you look at the lyrics from a different viewpoint, say through religion or a loss, and it's like hearing the song for the first time.
Lol i remember when i watched this video for the first time i screamed when i saw he got snatched by Nico and then dragged back to dema😂 Alright so you are done with the Trench trilogy, but before you continue the storyline with Scaled and Icy, you should watch some videos in between, theres characters and stuff that you will need to learn about so you can understand better later. We will guide you through it all. I hope youre enjoying the madness 😂
Please do Saturday and The Outside(official one, not the live one, should open on the beach) 🙏🏽 you’ll have more questions after these ones !! Try and watch the live experience it’s a 🤯
Not yet. Saturday comes before The Outside, and there are still a bunch of songs off of Trench that help build the Dema,/Trench universe, like Morph, Neon Gravestones, Bandito, Leave the City, and probably My Blood, and Pet Cheetah, too.
Ok not sure if your into this kinda music but if you haven’t already you should check out system of the down.. “chop Suey” first.. then “toxicity” .. if you like those I’ll give you some more.. also another great song is Korn freak on a leash.. check it out…

6:20 dope moment 🔥
Another one of my favorites, Tyler's flow in this one is off the chart!

Shy Away, Choker, Saturday and then The Outside! My bad!! This is the order.🌼

I'm here for it! (Fun fact, the only one with actual working clippers shaving his head is his wife Jenna who was in the middle.)

Definitely one of my favorites of all time from them
His hair wasn't buzzed in Trench (in Jumpsuit) but in the beginning of this video as hes rapping they are shaving his head
It’s buzzed when he’s on the HDS car (that whole part is done as if he just picked up where he left off)💛
let's gooooo!!! here for the journey, enjoy man
Aint no party like a Banditø party...
...but seriously, that looks like a dope camping trip party lol
Heavydirtysoul is connected to the trench trilogy (Jumpusit, Nico and the Niners, Levitate) and the car in heavydirtysoul is the same car in jumpsuit
Getting it done! Good job man. Now, lol, TRAPDOOR and DOUBT!

What!?! I was so fast!!! HeavyDirtySoul is the prelude to The Trilogy ✌️😊🌼
Let’s gooo!!!! Glad I can get these out
@@DRichOfficial The Outside ✌️😊🦋
@@jesrush Maybe Saturday first? I would call that "part 4" (HDS as the prelude) and sets up the open to The Outside.
@@Deltron3031 yes. You’re correct. Saturday should be before the Outside. I got too excited!🤪😆😊
