    Hi,
    What tablet can you recommend me for use with my DJI Phantom 4 drone in bright sunlight.. I'm struggling with the Chuwi V10HD and I'm looking for a replacement. (It's a very good tablet - but it's just not bright enough and the battery doesn't last very long)
    I'll be fine with 1080p resolution, a good battery life and anything with higher specs than the V10HD... I was looking at your review for the Hibook pro, will the brightness be good enough? or does it fail in bright sunlight? I see other reviews condemning the brightness...
    Please advise....
    Many thanks,
    Reuben

    Can it handle premiere pro video editing ?
    What will be the battery backup using premiere pro at 70% brightness ?

    Hey just bought one of these and was looking on your websites forums when I saw talk of a 'new batch'? How to tell if my Hibook Pro is the new or old batch (if there is such a thing).
    Also, is the hibook/hibook pro keyboard identical except for the longer lugs on the Hibook version? Or should I only get the (more expensive in some places) Hibook pro keyboard?

    • @Ryan-lx4pv
      @Ryan-lx4pv 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      it's identical bro, if you got the longer lugs (i'm not sure what is it called) just cut it about 2mm, it works perfectly

      If the "new batch" exists, it's in all likeyhood, it's updating the CPU to the 8350.

    Not sure if anyone still reads this, but just some advance tips of things i would do as soon as i get this device. Just decided to write them down since i wished i knew these when purchasing.
    1. Install RemixOS, works much better than the android shell which comes preinstalled (less lag) Follow Konstakangs Guide
    2. For some reason all the Intel devices comes with a weird brightness value set and the screen doesnt really go low enough (still too bright) Simply flash using the vi10plus-fix-minbrightness.zip file (can be found on Konstakangs site as well)
    3. Change cable and power supply to a higher quality one (the one supplied has some voltage issues and the screen flickers for some, and the cable is just poor quality) worth nothing though, keep the old cable since some others doesnt seem to work for data transfer.
    4. (opinion) I disabled the windows home button using a button remapper (no root) from the Play store. If you use it for media u get tired of accidentally pushing it (and android has software home anyways)

    I'm pretty confused, is Chuwi only doing USB 3.0 for the Type-C port on the regular Chuwi HiBook per your article? techtablets.com/2016/04/chuwi-hibook-usb-3-1-type-c/
    I've been trying to find a Win 10 tablet that has USB 3.0 with the same or better specs than Chuwi's Hi10 Pro.

    hello,
    I'm thinking about purchasing this tablet or the Hi10 Plus. I liked this model because of the rigid keyboard but I'm concerned about the performance, which is supposed to be better in Hi10 Plus and that is the most important to me. What would you recommend to me? Is the performance much worse in this one compared to Hi10 Plus?
    thank you very much =)

    Hi there. I have been using mine for 1 month and can't seem to help but feel that android is slightly laggy/unresponsive even when navigating the OS itself when compared to windows. For example, when inputting passcode in android or so, it is ever so slightly slow to respond. Animation when opening apps doesn't seem to be as smooth too. Is this normal due to its high resolution screen?

    I've been looking for a tablet for reading comics in higher resolution. 10.1'' seems like a great size. I think I've just about settled on this one, as it's basically the only reasonably sized, reasonably priced, high resolution display out there at the moment. Your video was very informative, but obviously it's a little older now. Do you think there's a better option at this point in the $200 price range?

    Hi Chris, Thanks for the detailed review.
    Will I be able to run CAD , Sketchup and photoshop softwares on this tablet, for light files i.e. files not more than 1 or 2Mb for occasional reviews, editing, file conversions etc?
    You've mentioned that the USB Type-C isnt a USB 3.0 port? Can you please re-verify this? Product literature says it is a 3.0
    Also, can I use some kind of simple adapter that will allow me to connect to HDMI out and charge the tablet at the same time? It will help me with long presentations without bothering about battery life of the tablet. Please suggest me a good adapter of this sort.
    Your reviews are indeed very detailed and I was waiting for this one eagerly. Thank you once again.

      Hi, only very light and based photoshop or similar applications. For anything more I recommend Core M's. It's meant to be type-c USB 3.0 but my unit only runs at USB 2.0 spec 100% I have tested USB 3 pens like my Hyper X savage which has 300 mb/s reads and it seems to max at 40mb/s due to USB 2 limits. Could be my batch and others might have USB 3 ports. And finally, you can use the micro hdmi port and type-c to charge. To have display out and charging at the same time, I've done this with my unit using it like a desktop.

    Good night! I just subscribed and have a question for you.
    You prefer the Teclast X16 pro or this Chuwi Hibook pro?
    The tablet is for my parents, the performance is not so important. I want a good screen, not just seing, also good response.
    The build quality is also important, my father has big hands jejejej
    Which one would you buy? Thank you!!
    Continue like this, I really liked your videos (I've being looking around a little bit).
    Edit: I have other question. Is that pc windows version? Can I install Firefox and it's addons? Like Ace Stream?
    Edit2: Icontinue looking your videos, and jus saw you live in Spain. I'm spanish, do you understand spanish? Would be easier for me to ask in spanish at least jajajaj

      Por potencia es mejor la X16 Pro, pero por pantalla la hibook pro y seguramente tambien le dure mas la batería. (El Z8500 es muy gastón) como Chris ha dicho es la tablet china que ha probado con mejor pantalla asi que si quieres una buena pantalla la hibook pro es la recomendable (yo he pedido una), ademas se ve que tiene buena calidad de construcción.
      El windows es una versión de PC porque lleva procesador intel y arquitectura de PC asi que puedes instalar cualquier cosa que se instala en un PC.
      Acestream para ver cosas funciona perfecto en un Z8300 por experiencia propia ;)
      Espero haberte ayudado.

    • @totzi11
      @totzi11 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Muchas gracias por la respuesta. Aun asi, el z8500 no es mucho mejor? Es que podria hasta salirme mas barato. Y la pantalla, prefiero que tenga una muy buena respuesta al tactil, que mucha resolucion. El X16 Pro acepta stylus... No se...
      Just in case I'll transale english.
      "Is Z8500 much better than Z8300? The X16 Pro would be nearly same price, also a little cheaper. And the screen, I prefer having better responsive display, than very high resolution. Also the X16 Pro accepts stylus..." Just don't know which I should choose. If you could give me an advice, I would be grateful.

    • @totzi11
      @totzi11 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Otra pregunta, porque tanto mirar, casi me vuelvo loco. Tengo algo mas barato el Chuwi hi12 con su teclado. Misma casa, misma resolucion, mas pantalla, posibilidad de stylus, usb 3.0... No te lo has planteado??
      Translate: Another question, I'm looking around and I'm getting mad. I have a bit cheapper the Chuwi hi12 with the keyboard. Same brand, same resolution, bigger display, can use stylus, usb 3.0... Could I check for it? Which one would you buy? X16 pro, hibook pro or hi12??

    • @toahewki
      @toahewki 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depende para que vas a usar la tablet, para tomar notas (hi12 o x16 pro) o ver contenido multimedia ( hibook pro o hi12 con una pantalla mas grande pero de peor calidad) y tal vez un poco mas de uso pesado (x16 pro con el z8500), pero para mi el diseño premium y que el desempeño no bajó con esa pantalla me han vendido la hibook pro.

      This has a far superior screen, but is more expensive, has a 5% slower CPU, no real USB 3.0, no stylus support and costs some additional bucks.
      I ordered this one because the screen is most importent imo.

    Guys, I personally recommend all of you to keep away from CHUWI. I bought Hibook Pro and having terrible experiences. I have also watched reviews before buying this tablet. It gets really hot when I just simply run the browser or PDF reader. I opened it and found no cooling support like Chuwi Lapbook 14.1. Both Android and Windows are too laggy. Even the 1080p videos do not play smoothly in windows. The most worst thing is that the screen resolution is 2560x1600. It is even higher on Hi13. You cannot feel comfortable watching movies due to having all the movies are either in 720p or 1080p. Moreover, all of your old memories captured by cameras or phones will look cracked on those high resolution tablets. Not also good for gaming either. It may seems to you cheaper but you will be loosing your earnings soon if you invest here. Because, my one is dead now. So mind it.

    Hibook Pro has:
    -better secreen resolution
    -better rare camera resolution
    -dual operation system Win10 + Android 5.1
    Hi10 plus has:
    -better batttery capacity
    -dual operation system Win10 + OS Remix (mixture of android and windows) 5.1
    -latest model of Chuwi
    Thank you a lot , looking forward for answers :)
    2- what is the device tool you are using when you testing games on windows system (by moving mouse pointer)

      Hi,
      Hibook Pro and Hi10 and similar. HiBook Proihas the amazing screen. The Hi10 Pro has 1920 x1200 (Still look good) and Remix OS. But the USB Type-C port on the Hi10 Pro also works at USB 3.0 speeds, unlike the Hibook Pro here.
      Tool for temps and FPS? MSI afterburner.

    Very good review. Thanks. Banggood has also extended the $199.99 offer. I am planning to buy. i have 2 questions.
    1) Is Windows 10 64 bit version?
    2) Does stylus work with this? (Any stylus, Hipen, I also have Nvidia Tegra Note Direct Stylus)

    In general, Chris, can a person easily remove the Android install?

    • @Techtablets
      @Techtablets  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, delete all the raw partitions from disk management and create a new partition for Windows. Or use a partition management software and merge the free space. Only delete the RAW partitions, those are the Android ones.

      And what about removing Windows installation?. Is it possible to leave only the android installation and use all freed space?

    • @Techtablets
      @Techtablets  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      For that you would need to reflash the ROM, and new partition tables using the whole eMMC.

      If you only want a single OS to be run on this tablet, you can set Windows as the 1st boot propriety and turn on fastboot in the BIOS. It will boot straight to Windows without waiting 10 sec for you to choose between android and windows

    I don't know if you take game requests, but a game I would like to see added to the rotation is Morrowind running with the Opensource engine called Open MW. It's a pretty old game, and the new open source engine is optimized for modern hardware.
    I am curious how it would run on some of these tablets.

      Hibook Pro for the screen, the Hi12 for battery life, full USB ports and stylus support. And the Hi10 Pro for Remix & Windows. It's basically the Hibook just different software.

    damn hot stuff i suppose. I was considering about Teclast X98 pro (i had Teclast X98 3g), but this is made me heavy breathing. What do You think? I want ~10 inch screen, high resolution (above FHD), Win10 with min. 4GB ram, great screen quality, aluminium body. I dont care about keyboard, aspect ratio, usb port speed. Can You suggest me something?
    And yes, Your's web and chanel rocks!

      HI, I would suggest this one based on what you list listed. Or the Hi10 Pro with Remix. Hi12 is also good if you want full sized ports and larger screen.

    The resolution is still the best in class. Today the norm is 8G ram but the resolution still ain't up there. Trade off as usual. USB 2.0 isn't that fun though. But price was the only reason that time ago.$200 & $150 deal for display artifact.

    I've just received this tablet. It's a nice little thing. Only problem is that it's rooted and can't run Google Play Movies and some other apps. Does anyone know if/how you can unroot it? Does unrooting it have any bad impact on the dual os?

    • @Techtablets
      @Techtablets  8 ปีที่แล้ว
