Can someone try out for volleyball when they have never played it before?
Yes they can! I have never seen a club or school that required any experience to try out. If you are thinking of trying out anywhere you definitely should! Volleyball is super fun!
Heres a tip, workout out before you try out, because even if you arent great at volleyball, they will see that you are athletic, witch is what they look for.

Absolutely ! Everybody starts somewhere. Trust me . You may wanna know some terms and things beforehand . But even if you have never played the girls on the team will def help you out and hopefully you will get comfortable with the sport
@@windydays1276 I rlly like lying on the floor and setting . It helps me learn and work on my control. Also going outside and bumping or hitting against a wall is great. For hitting I just practice my targeting

Do you have any tips I’m trying out for volleyball for the first time ever with not much experience?
Practice as much as possible. You don't have to be perfect to make it just keep a positive attitude, try your best. Practice your form PLEASE WORK ON YOUR PLATFORM!!!If you don't make it don't give up do clinics watch youtube learn the game of volleyball. I've only done clinics and practices at home I made my volleyball team.you got this!!!
If you have a volleyball make sure to practice with it. You can look up some solo drills on TH-cam, but work on passing and setting to yourself. One of the best things you can do at the tryout is hustle and communicate. Even if you don’t have a lot of experience, hustling and a good attitude go a long way! Coaches are not just looking for the best players, they are looking for players who are willing to work hard and get better! Another tip would be to thank the coaches for their time at the end of tryouts to give them another good impression! Let me know if you have anymore questions and keep me updated about how it goes!!

The bag in this video works pretty well (Nike Brasilia Training Backpack). But I would recommend getting a big bag with lots of pockets and a shoe compartment. I personally like backpacks, but some people use duffel bags to. Hope this helped!

When I play Volleyball my heels hurt, and I went to a podiatrist and he said that if you take a couple minutes in between your game and do just basic stretches to loosen up your calves (touching your toes, or getting on a step and letting one foot lean down ) it helps your feet feel better

another thing you can put in your bag is a first aid kit and perfume and cough drops

hey are um knee pads supposed to be loose bc mine are kinda loose like it’s harder to slide but they stay on I guess
they are not supposed to be loose. They should be able to stay up on your knees throughout different plays. The only exception is they might fall down when you slide, which is normal, but anything else is not. If you are able to, I would suggest trying a different size out. If you have any more questions, just let me know. I hope this helped!

I personally prefer Mizuno kneepads, but any kneepads will work!

I’m two years late but if anyone else just came and is also wondering, of course you can try out, but you might not make it without lots of practice. But you can give it a go!
