Inutile parlare..Maniscalco in questo incontro non sarà stato scattante come in altre occasioni ma ha dominato il match! Grande Stefano! E lui è uno che in un modo o nell'altro fa sempre spettacolo! Quello che molti non hanno capito! Solo così possiamo sperarare di vederlo alle Olimpiadi...facendo spettacolo!

wow! they both got mad at the end... but this is a respect sport and they dont end punching like in football, hockey, basket...etc etc thats one of the reasons i love karate and martial artS respect and cool mind

It's a world championship and not a local competition, so (in my opinion) the hard touches like in this case can be less penalized. Take a look to the grapplings at the karategi: they are never punished. In the Italian Championship we have only 3sec for grappling with the only aim to sweep the opponent with a rapid technique (and not with strength).

tutte tecniche sporche,guardia bassa di Maniscalco.Neppure una tecnica di calcio,e tanta tensione.C'erano almeno due zuki jodan(pugno al viso) dell'iraniano,non dati dall'arbitro.Vincere ma non convincere!!OSS.

The Kiai is meant to be done at the impact Point to enhance the Tech. It is so sad they do a Kiai after the Punch like " HEY I MAY HAVE SCORED". I don't know why this fight comes first if I search for WKF, it's one of the worst.
Mendes you should train your eyes to the karate speed, look what the guy did before maniscalco gave him the punches... the iranian was frustrated and it's understandable since the points the referee gave to Maniscalco before that were.. doubtful

WKF, have to open the ears and eyes to the way karate is losing quality, when I mean quality I refer to: good stances, proper behavior, zanshin, speed and strenght, personally I hate the way the fighters look around after a technique they"believe" is a point, that just reflect the way karate is in detriment (e.g. respect for the other fighter), and getting out from the reality.

cara... eu nem sei o que dizer... técnicas básicas como mae geri e oi tsuki simplesmente não são utilizadas... eles até que são rápidos, tem boa noção de distância e espírito de luta, mas deixam muito a desejar no quesito técnica, não só eles, mas a maioria das lutas da WKF que eu vejo... infelizmente este "tipo" de karate está infectando até a JKA, já vi alguns videos de lutadores (não japoneses) da JKA que lutam praticamente iguais a estes caras... o jeito é recorrer ao MMA mesmo.
Mah.. a me non sembra poi un granché.. son capaci tutti a essere alti 2 metri e fare ippon spazzando (per altro andando di forza bruta neanche cercando il tempo giusto per farlo).. ci fosse poi mezzo pugno corretto vedo solo tanta confusione

Very poor job by the refs!!! Especially at a stage like this.
How can u ignore @4.14min, they both should have been heavilly penalized for improper conduct, not to mention that maniscalco gave him 2 solid punches, that looked more like boxing than karate...

Totally true, but, in this video we are focus on kumite, karate. In my school sometimes we take a part of a kata and we practice the kihon and kumite focus on this, but, nevertheless how much kata and kihon you do, you have to keep on kumite as the proof that your mind is ready.
Stefano has better throwing. But on the whole it is pretty shit. They keep stopping the fight on each point. I prefer full contact, or Kick boxing.

Na ja, ist halt Sportkarate. Hier geht es um Wettkämpfe. Wenn man lieber traditionell bleiben will, sollte man sich das nicht angucken. Auch wenn es mega unsauber aussieht und der Zanshin hier verloren gehen mag, würde ich von den Kollegen hier trotzdem keinen Tsuki mit der bloßen Faust ins Maul bekommen wollen :P

questo non ha nulla a che fare col Karate... da quando in qua un candidato a campione del mondo saltella in quel modo? perdendo il contatto con il terreno, quando la prima cosa che ti insegnano è di tenere sempre il contatto col suolo, perchè una volta in aria non ti puoi spostare? poi questi kiai tirati lunghi come se stessero cagando...
speriamo che il karate non vada mai alle olimpiadi! perchè poi tutti vedranno queste oscenità e il vero karate si vedrà solo in quelle poche e serie palestre.
capisco i guantini, capisco il paradenti e la conchiglia, ma il giubbotto "anti proiettile"... neanche i boxer lo usano e se ne tirano di sante.

Hai detto bene, moleggiando, e concordo che essere in una posizione dinamica significa mettere più in difficoltà l'avversario ed essere più reattivi. Ma credo sia esperienza comune, che se salti, staccando entrambi i piedi da terra, come fanno nel video, non puoi essere reattivo perchè non hai superfici su cui imprimere forza. Al minuto 1:20 il rosso è palesemente in aria. Se il blu fosse entrato in quel momento, così come in molti altri di questo incontro gli avrebbero dato l'ippon subito(poi ovviamente bisogna essere in grado di cogliere queste opportunità, ed ho detto tutto)
ma se non capisci una m.... di sport da combattimento perchè non continui a commentare il poker?
