Tame a pig. Then use stimbarries and force feed pig to produce large amounts of poop. That's the only thing I do differently. Great video

for any newcomers watching this, the best way to line up your irrigation pipes is placing a ladder in front of the area you want to place your pipes and/or you crop plots, place your item, then pick the ladder up and repeat if necessary. the ladder snaps perfectly alligned to floors and ceilings, so climbing up makes your character perfectly straight in reference to the floor and ceiling tiles.
Tip for placing pipes. Use crosshairs from weapon to mark spot then simply switch to pipe and place it.
I know you probably won’t see this but this was an amazing video of the other videos I found were 30 minutes long and they only explain the compost bin method

Literally the best "farming for dummies" video I could have hoped for. Not only did you clarify each plot's best use (which I didn't know), you also gave basic info on what irrigation taps were for. I'm a visual learner as well, so seeing it in a simple quick video was so much easier to understand than looking up a wordy text guide or a random forum post.

Tecorsuh undeniably did a great job here with this "quick and dirty" guide but one point he only visually alludes to (does not explicitly mention) is the watering range of each tap - i.e. the fact that you don't need a tap for every plot. That fact usually translates into people needing a ton less piping to water a given area than is suggested by many farming videos, especially those that concentrate of aesthetics rather than efficiency,

You can also use a ladder, press k for spactator view and pick the ladder back up to place things straight. I use an intersection to center the pipes in the middle of the foundation or to get it in between 2 foundations like in the video.

I built a green house over top of a lake with wood ceilings on top of pilings as the floor. My floor was just barely above the water line and ended up not needing irrigation with the plots on the floor. I thought that was interesting as I had never come across that before.

I know this was addressed in the first part of this video. One might expect that as you increase plot size, you would have a greater storage capacity for fertilizer and crops. The only benefit that a large crop plot brings is a higher capacity for water storage (600=large, 400=medium, 200=small), which is completely pointless if you have a tap connected to a body of water (never runs low or runs out). With 300% Greenhouse Effect, all the crop plot sizes stop producing after 299 berries or 149 crops and have a total storage of 10 slots, no matter what plot size you use.
Not a serious issue, but I wish the crop plots increased in more than just size and water capacity, but in fertilizer and crop storage as well. It would provide more incentive to grind for the extra materials. Ideally/realistically, the greenhouse effect would only influence crop production speed, and the crop plot size would determine size of your harvest.
Also, considering how fragile the greenhouse structures are, it is kind of annoying that the Tek Forcefield blocks the greenhouse effect. Though I guess it makes sense logically, it is just another minor issues that bugs me a bit.

A faster and easier way to get fertilizer is to make a toilet. When you poop in it and flush it, it gives you fertilizer. So basically 1 human poop = 1 fertilizer.

I’ve been seacrching for like 20 minutes now and I can’t find a single source that tells you how to destroy crops if it won’t let you
If you felt like taking the time you can just build a whole shower of things over your greenhouse and water flows through the greenhouse pieces
If one wants to grow vegetables in ark where does one is able to find the seeds as I play on the islands but haven't found any All I can find are Berry seeds from the black ones and from a few other Berry's I also was only able to find long grass seeds which I haven't used yet. So for now all I'm growing are the black berries that puts you to sleep since I use them a lot in recipes for medicine for the tribe I joined.
I dont recommend using large crop plots for this build for beginners its really hard to fit😅learned it the hard way hahaha

Even in vanilla, as long as you have a wall at the end of a foundation it will stay. So if you have a wall 4 long and skip every other foundation spot the wall will stay.

I just started out a few days ago too. I have the farmer role on my tribe 🤣 When it says Fruitling, it's gonna produce whatever crop or berry seed you put in. Although the yield is significantly smaller if you don't have the greenhouse effect.
I contacted pipes all the way from my base to the ocean and it's still not irrigated...

This, I have never had to use irrigation. Once you get into doing a greenhouse though, you will need irrigation.

crop plots dont require foundation support as long as the surface is flat enough or there aren't any obstructions it should work just fine

I think they should boost the amount of berries you get to at least 1k per small crop plot. I mean who would even go to the trouble of making a narco berry farm that puts out 100 berries per crop plot and get around 1k per 10 crop plots when you can farm the 1k with a low level parasaur with high melee damage in like 20 minutes?. It is pointless and just a dead game mechanic. Iow reward, and takes engram points use to get the large crop plots. its one of the many flaws of ark. Also i wished they made the binoculars an actual engram. Remove the tables or any other engram that is not really useful. I hate having to load up genesis on my other server just to get a new set when i lose them. Tried to spawn them in but the code from wiki doesnt function on console.
Yea I agree, Crops are kinda dead but that’s only early on. I’m on this video only to start farming the vegetables needed for extraordinary kibble, to tame perfectly

You can get it from gathering berries and fiber normally, they don't drop super often but often enough to get em for farming
somewhat rare drop from harvesting bushes which yield berries, use a parasaur for better harvesting early on (or trike/stego/bronto later)

Well I tried to put bag for water in plot but it said theres no water but there was :/
you need irrigation, irrigation intake starting in any water body, connect pipes, cross sections and end in taps above the crop plots, water tap irrigate several crop plots, I put a tap in the coss section of 4 large crop plots, 1 large crop plot takes up the same space as 2 by 2 small crop plots, I use the small for berries and the large for vegetables and plant species x

Why don't you just tame a Berry picker first?
Stego or trike will work, saves time making compost.
You need farms for cooking pot ingredients like long grass and servo roots oh and carrots.
I wouldn't bother farming berry unless you live in harsh environments where none grow.like snowy mountain tops.
It was just a catchy line he used in the beginning to open the video. He put down 4 large plots for each veggie. Potatoes, Carrots, Corn and Lemons.....yes i know those aren't the in game names. S+ is a mod on the PC version of the game. You would just search for it in the steam workshop.
@@Tecorsuh S+ .. is not working if you play on official servers. It is working on singleplayer though. Moded servers has it anyway.. Is the most used mod on ark. I heard rumours that Officials working to bring it to official servers.. but we will see..

Daniel Kizziar I was used to my tames getting my berries (kinda newish too), but for high level kibble you’re forced to farm, so I’d say start early!
I think using a bronto is easier for narcos.. the only thing I use plots for are the advanced plants and veggies.
