So he's upset that another culture, not race, because Latin is not a race, has all the things at the black community could have only if people like him did right by their own communities, rather than trying to not be a part of it? He's upset that he's part of the problem that causes the black community to be what it is? Am I assessing this right?

Black men be going out sad. He just admitted to his inferiority as a man. And the bit about Middle Easterners preferring male children isn’t a brag, women in that region are heavily suppressed. That was pretty much a dig at black women and our position in the community. His masculinity is in question, in his own mind, so he’s lashing out again.

Because Latino cultures are grounded in family, loyalty, and gratitude, we cannot accept anyone who would willingly privilege other cultures over their own during that culture's national celebratory month and do so publicly. We can also not accept applications from anyone who does not express thanks for how values and resources specific to that community (ex., R&B) helped them become financially solvent and prosperous. We are not only linked by race but also by ethnicity (it is the strongest parts of our identity and unity)refers to a people or homeland and has its origins in the Greek ethnikos, an adjective of ethos. More specifically, the concept of ethnicity concerns a group of people with common origins, interests and experiences and among whom there are levels of solidarity and identification. What made "latino culture" is the colonization of the Spaniards, plus their mixing creating offspring that are direct descendants of the "colonizers" but not in a slave-slave master kind of way, but more like inter-marrying and mixing and then the Christian beliefs brought to the continent by catholic Spain which heavily influenced our culture and are still upheld today. That's "latino culture". Now, of course there is African influence especially in the islands, but there is also native indian culture there from the Tainos, Aztecs, Mayans etc... but without either of them Latin America would still exist today.

My great grandparents on my mom’s side of the family owned property. so my moms parents grew up a block away from each other.
