- On today’s episode, we were gifted a few items from our friends at @TobaccoPipeStore. First, did you know they sold cigars? We didn’t either! Today, we review the Liga Privada No. 9 Flying Pig cigar frok @Drewestatecigar…which is NOT a Cuban. 🙄 We show you the HUGE humidor at TobaccoPipes, and their future after the merger with STG. Lastly, TobaccoPipes put together a giveaway package for us, to give to you! So, we are having our first ever Giveaway! Be sure to comment and subscribe before Sunday 11/24 at 11:59PM to be eligible. Only thing sadder than these amazing shops closing and me never getting any pipe force coins, is never getting to see Jeremiah in that outfit at club havana at the next sutliff anniversary. 😢😂 And tobacco pipes was one of the only ones that carried a leather Peterson wall pipe holder i liked. But great gaw items. Pipe force II and III were probably my favs of the series. Thanks to Jake for those. 🎉🎉🎉🎉

But I will certainly miss Sutliff, TobaccoPipes, and the 176th Anniversary that we certainly would have been at! Maybe we just need to meet again in Richmond, and take our own trip to Club Havana! @@roakey1506 I have you down for the drawing. And yes, we really are so sad to see TobaccoPipes go. I reached out and asked that very question, but they didn’t know for sure. However, the answer I got was not very hopeful. The official date is somewhere around the end of 1st quarter…according to the podcast I listened to…so I’m guess that’s when the Compare and Share will end. I have been buying the C&S every month for 15 months now. I’m so sad to see it go!

The conglomeration of the industry is definitely depressing. We have been spoiled with the variety of products in such a niche market; but will probably not have quite as many choices in the future?
@@e.joseph273 agreed!! We have indeed been spoiled and have fallen in love with blends that may soon be going away. It’s unfortunate, but a new normal is what we will have to deal with soon. Hopefully, STG will still provide a good amount of blends we know and love. Only time will tell.

@@ELWrana appreciate the kind words! We were saying the No 9 Flying Pig is a somewhat harder cigar to find, but TobaccoPipes had boxes of them just sitting around, because no one really knows they sell cigars. So you may be able to find other cigars there that are harder to find.

I have both the Liga #9 and the Flying Pig in my box at the cigar lounge in Jackson. The Flying Pig lasts surprisingly long. Both are awesome cigars. "Stacks of wax from the back of the racks." I notice TobaccoPipes put together some pretty small packages for you two - coincidence? - I think not. I hate to say it, but actually a pretty good review of the stick. A = BC Squared - ouch. I am a bit worried that STG is shutting down some of the organizations they are purchasing. I am worried that they will mess up the HH line of pipe tobaccos. Acquisitions rarely result in lower prices - even after the rewind you tried. I missed the give away window - how will I ever recover?
@@PiperDave2023 it was a surprisingly good smoke! I’m not a big cigar smoker, but it really was nice. And TobaccoPipes putting together the package, I mean, I did a little sweet talking and batted my eyelashes, and they came through!! You mean, the Pie-lithium theories isn’t A=bc squared? Hmmm…
And yes, I actually am worried about the STG takeover too. I’ve been cellaring a little deep on blends I want to keep around, because it’s going to affect every small blender in America! I saw in your last couple videos, you are doing the same. Great idea! And I’m sure some new blends will come about as a result, but will they be as good? Only time will tell.
