Nice Video. Just a few quick corrections. There is a built in microphone on the c200 and they also put the XRL imputs on the body itself. The other correction is that it does have Clog2 but it's only in the Raw lite codec and you can get the full 15 stops of DR with it. In the mp4 codec its Clog3 with up to 13 stops.
sata ssd are shit... m,2ssd with pcie gen3 (x4,4lans) is the best ever!! thx intel for letting optain get futher towards NVMe technology!! tears in my eyes!!!
B&H website specs says no internal mic for the C200, and cool that all Clogs will be with the Canon RAW Light, I have not seen that anywhere though. the MP4 is the one missing Clog2 as you say...thanks for the update.
Yes, CLog2 can be recorded to MP4 (as it should be). Color profiles aren't applied to RAW capture. In fact, RAW picture data doesn't contain color profile information by design. Otherwise it wouldn't be RAW. Color profiles only serve a purpose after the raw picture data has been converted to video. Yes, you can select it during RAW capture but that's for preview purposes only since the raw picture data has to be converted to video before it can be displayed on a field monitor or EVF.
The C200 can compliment multi camera shoots (C300 Mark II or other Cinema Line Cameras) where the delivery is to the web...that may be where it fits into my productions. Cool video - Thanks!
Yes; I'm seeing the MP4 codec with live streaming and web usage much more now with the C200. And if you have a bigger production there is always the RAW light. Thanks Carlos!
I have a C200. It does have an internal mic. The touch screen autofocus works great except in low light but the autofocus is the key feature for me versus all the other cameras out there. The C200 has two digic dv 6 processors vs two digic dv 5 processors in the Canon C300 Mk II which may limit it from getting 4k 60p. I hope Canon can be persuaded to give the C200 a 10 bit 422 codec but I am afraid they want to keep that for the C300. The Cinema RAW Light codec is not useful to me as I edit with Vegas Pro on a Windows 10 PC. Canon has plugins to allow Avid to edit the RAW on Windows or Mac and to allow Final Cut Pro X to edit the RAW on a Mac. The free version of Resolve can open and to a limited degree edit the C200 RAW and render the RAW files to something I can edit but it is too much trouble and doubles the amount storage space needed.
Yes true about the mic, I was going on specs from B&H. They got it wrong. And Canon told me, as you suspect, that the two digic 5 chips keep the C300mkii from doing 4k 60p. A shame of course. But I still love it. Thinking of adding either the C200 or 1DX mkii to my arsenal, not sure which to get yet. I just got an update from Apple for my FCPX and it will now be able to do the Canon RAW light from your C200. ...And also just got a firmware update for my C300mkii to be able to use the C200 touch screen display! Heck yeah! From what I hear Canon's C200 firmware update in 2018 will still be 8 bit 420. At minimum it should be 8 bit 422. Cheers.

hey ajmash, great video dude. I'm a filmmaker in Australia but thinking of heading over to Oregon/portland area to live and work. How do you find the industry there and what sort shooting are you doing?
Portland has a nice film community, very supportive and growing. I'm in Southern Oregon in Ashland right now which has a great but small film community with it's own Film Festival in April. I live and work in LA in the winter. I shoot weddings, events, documentaries, real estate, music bands and since getting the C300 MK II doing short films and working up to do full features.
Lets cross our fingers and hope we get a firmware update to have at least internal Raw on the c300mk2 and to use the LM-V1 touch monitor. If it can't handle the compression for 8bit 4k 60p and uncropped 120fps, it should be able to handle Raw since there is less compression -_-
Thank god someone else thinks the same, just bought the c300mk2 and days later the c200 gets dropped out, PLEASE give us 50/60p!!!!!!! Feeling robbed to say the least

This is crazy the sony A6500 does all this expect the raw light and it's 1,300. True you can't shoot with it more than 20 minutes. lol, but $7,500 for this NO THANK YOU CANON. I'll wait for Sony's next camera it's bound to be as good as the EVA 1 . Then I'll make my choice. Hopefully the FS5 II rocks with the new A9 auto focus system. Another crippled over price camera from canon I'm tired of waiting on them. Poor codecs and junkie bit rates!! And no log on the HDMI out. SMH!!

c200 would be great in documentary movie work. Great for cropping on your subject and the af is great.

Yea, that monitor would be sweet with the C300 MKII. I'll take the MP4 150mbps in 4k 60p. I really don't think Canon would do that though. Grrrrr
