Leela has organised an intervention for Donna-Marie, bringing James, Ste and Peri together to show Donna-Marie how much they care. It doesn't go well as James doesn't believe she wants to get clean, and despite Ste sharing that thinking of the kids got him clean, Donna-Marie turns on them and storms off.

They were actually getting through to her but James wouldnt shut up. Super hypercritical of him considering his grief for losing marnie triggered his gambling addiction and put his family(Donna Marie included) through the wringer. Like he literally got his life together less than a year ago and wouldn’t even be back at Dee Valley Law if Donna Marie didn’t beg Verity, cut her some slack

Ste totally understands Donna Marie and she can get her life in order too. It just takes time. I think she needs rehab instead of trying to do it on her own again. And yes Ste's got his life in order so much he married the guy that won't shut up. James is just thinking of himself. Ste has been there as well.

I need James to stop being a dick to Donna Marie soon! She stood by him after Marnie died and she didn't give up on him, he needs to do the same.
