I just got one like it a week ago doing some upgrades change and all the screws to stainless steel and some other stuff but it looks to be a nice buggy I raced a1/8 scale on road back in the 80s and 90s so I’m just now getting back into it to 56 years old I needed something to do.Good video

Keeping that chassis nice and clean. I respect that especially a nitro running in a dirt environment. It is not hard to properly clean a car with some practice and it will keep the car and engine running a long time. I see you haven't flipped it over and scraped the engine head.
@Charles McGehee I get it cleaned up like that each time I have it out, it also helps you find potential headaches before they arise or become worse. I credit the not scratched head due to how I've got it setup mainly to prevent traction rolls. Pluss I never run it with out the body on. I might be biest but it is one nice looking cooling head I'd never forgive myself if I scratched it up. Thanks for the kind words I really appreciate it. 🏆🏆

Bro it sure is true. No matter where you run an R/C vehicle, it is always going to be fun especially when everything is set up right and tuned properly. Troy do you balance your tires? It is easy and I find that the larger the tire, the better and smoother the car runs when the wheels are balanced. Balancer's are cheap.
I do have a set of tyres I balanced but no I haven't balanced my badlands as yet. I keep meaning to get it done but haven't got around to it yet. But I hear you balanced tyres do make a difference 😀
Thanks for the compliment. It is a metal spur gear. Every time I run it I put a little graphite grease on it and the clutch bell mesh. Helps it from wearing out and makes the mesh even smoother and quiter. They are a great buggy, very adjustable. the original engine a pull start ke21sp and pipe is a good match up with the 3 shoe clutch. Reasonably easy to tune. Puts out a surprising amount of power. Set up suspension/camber, ride height and droop they stay upright and rarely traction roll through corners etc. If you want they have plenty of hop up bits n pieces and engine swap out wise the diffs are more than strong enough and mine handles the .28 alpha ultra pro spec T850 5 port with pipe and clutch and bell swapped out like it was ment to be in it. But leaving the original engine etc you'll be more than happy. It's a buggy I believe that is worth every cent of what you pay for one.
The RTR ( READY TO RUN) comes completely assembled including the engine and exhaust pluss servos wheels tyres etc. Basically it's prepared from the factory for you. It doesn't mean it's a poorer quality RC. All the good bits are there assembled for you regardless of if you are new to the hobby or experianced. The RTR is also able to be up graded if you want to. You'll need a starter pack and batteries and fuel then you can pretty much run it in and use it. The kit has to be assembled, once assembled you will need to purchase a engine and exhaust pluss purchase servos. Some parts of the kit version are slightly different or a upgrade from the RTR. You'll also need to purchase wheels and tyres, add all the decals etc to the body. Also you have to get a receiver and transmitter. Then on top of that you'll need a starter pack. There may be some other things you may have to buy that I've not mentioned but I think you get the picture. As you can imaging it gets expensive.
