I have been there several times when there was still a 'there' there. In the 1970s it was obvious that some of the buildings were still occupied. No one objected to you following the SP tracks out to scenic Drawbridge.
Why would anyone think to build a life in an estuary, let alone in a marshland? To those old timers who said "they let it go to waste..," it was never meant to inhabit people in the first place. Where exactly do those train tracks end up at? That would be a beautiful ride if Amtrak used it.
Amtrak does use that line, The Capitol Corridor which is a Communer/Intercity train and the Coast Starlight which runs from Los Angeles California to Seattle Washington, that train you saw in the video is a commuter train called ACE and it runs from Stockton California to San Jose and soon to Sacramento and Merced California

That’s where my great Gpappy Tilden Crenshaw grew up until WW1. He lived at the trademark gun club house.

They should make the house float, like a floating village. There are tons of homes on the lake in SE Asia.

It’s the ace train it goes to Tracy and starts at diridon station in San Jose
I believe there still is a train that goes through that track, where you get to see the town for a couple minutes.
