For fishing find a safe mag setting and the reel kind of backs the mags of for you (magnofuge). Its fine for that in a fishing scenario. For field casting you can slowly wind mag knob off towards the minimum as cast gets under way, and even then its not ideal for ultimate distance needs a few modifications but standard its fine for fishing.

The mag knob controls the magnet strength and the magnofuge bit inside controls effectively how close mag is to spool. As the spool slows down the blue bit on end of spool pulls away from mag so kind of can use both depending on your needs

Hola. Si busca en Google la tienda Jims Reel en el Reino Unido, debe encontrar la pieza. Publicaré el enlace a continuación en un comentario por separado también.

Hope all is well. Need advice, I’m currently using 13’ Nitro Ulua Rods from Hawaii in M, MH, Breakaway GDX with Avet MXL Raptors and in the past Penn 500 jig masters. I would like to get into long distance casting. I’m looking at getting a Italcanna LA or B4 rod from Nick Meyer from Breakaway Tackle in Corpus Christi Texas and want to match it up to the perfect all reel. I see Akios, Abu and Zzeta are the go too but can you point me to the perfect setup. Thanks for your time

Those vextors are good rods. Cant go wrong with an abu 6500 snd 5500 to start off or akios equivalent. No point shelling out lots of money onna zzeta just yet! Just make sure theres no level wind.

Hi mate I’m extremely eager to learn the pendulum cast you’re such a good inspiration pal, I currently have a Penn 525 mag 3 and a sonic gravity X5 about 14.5 feet I think as my main set up, what would you recommend is a good starting point and any other tips would be great, cheers

@@djrmonix yeah and good starting point on technique etc your fishing cast looks a good place to start but it’s just getting the swing where the lead goes behind you I find that quit difficult, especially in the strong wins we’re having up north

😀 you made me laugh, I am exactly the same with diawa reels, they are over complicated and nothing worse than something flying off and you have no idea what it was or where it goes and it's not your reel.
But thanks to your videos I built my own reel based on the abu 6500ct. But super tuned.
Do you know how to replace the anti reverse bearing as I've got an upgraded stainless steel one for the abu but they are glued in.

Will check that link out. Im not sure think they are pressed in. I got one out with a suitable sized socket but damaged the turret trying to hammer it out
