I met the singer at a simple plan concert. ST was one of the 3 bands that opened for them. He's such a nice guy and on top of that I really found myself enjoying his bands set and bought their album afterwords

Can't believe they're so underrated T.T
I love the mix and the composition. The drums sound so crispy. I like when drums are that hot in the mix, not to mention they're played well. I have always been a fan of the chanting crowd sound they use in the chorus, too. I only really see that relegated to punk and emo styles and it makes me a little sad... I also like that they don't make the sound too dark and they don't neglect the mid-tones. Every instrument is real clear and audible. It seems to lose a lot of the energy at low volumes, but at high volumes this song makes me rock out uncontrollably. Not to mention the good song structure and interesting chord progressions. The chorus has so much energy.
The lyrics are kinda depressing. Seems like they're saying that we're all screwed, so it sours everything we do in life. The video kinda says that too. Like that other comment I read, I don't resonate with that. Hedonism really is shallow, and having a fraction of intelligence will depress you if hedonism is your life goal. Don't hang out with party animals that get wasted and treat you badly and break and steal shit in your house. There's more to life. People are out there solving problems and easing suffering. Maybe one day there won't be any more hunger? Maybe one day we could live forever? That would be cool. We need scientists for that. But I'm kind of a spiritual person so I have a tendency to believe that there is some metaphysical good to doing pragmatic good.
Anyways... love this song. Timeless classic. It will be in a majority of my playlists.

@@hannahmayo6582 Thanks! Not a pro critic or anything. I make my own shitty music and I try to listen to new music all the time. My brother is a musician in an actual traveling band and we share music stuff all the time. My education in music is really basic (mostly watching tutorials on TH-cam and trying to learn piano and guitar). I'm sure a real pro critic would find a lot of errors in my critique, lol
