weird how all the rides were leveled extremely high above the ground. it doesn't matter though because in the center of the ride the trailer is sat down on the ground which holds most of the weight
I will always remember looking down the midway and seeing pcked with people! Races during fair week were a huge draw. We always begged our parents to let us have the "Famous maxwell's walk-away sundae." Oh, and also had to have Frankie's sausage and pepper hero. Lord, that was over 50 years ago!! Time sure flies! Plus, the fair was always about the agricultural, livestock shows, and "home made" food compititions.
Pretty pathetic, Germ. Sadly, big theme parks are winning over county fairs! Still a few good ones left but those are incorporated together and owned by the bis amusement companies. I'mk sure the liability insurance is INSANELY expensive and (in light of the news having a fascination with stories about people stuck on roller coasters, ferris wheels and ride malfunctions leading to people's demise), the PR nightmares are not worth it. What a shame !
Yes I agree. Our other 2 county fairs are very much thriving but I’ve never seen the Orange County Fair full and I’ve been going on and off for 16 years.
Loved the video! So sad. It didn't look big at all. They better do something to change it before it is gone. I have never been to a fair before. One day I'll get to one. Love ya brother and tell the family we said hello 👋
"Germ's about saving money" I probably wouldn't save my refill cup, but I might without thinking about it. Saving money has been around before lovely Jack Benny. It continues; here's the Germ.
It’s sad the speedway and the fair have been going downhill, only a few events at the track this year and no fair entertainment at the grandstand first time ever there’s always something , Thursday the town of wallkill is having a board meeting trying to shut down the fairgrounds
Looks like they spread a lot of things out which makes it look bigger but it is actually small. The robot, I would not see it. lol I went to a fair the other week.
I’m sorry bro but that fair looks really terrible there are no variety of rides especially that swing ride instead of getting the official one they got a half fast type of thing
I went to the Pomona fair some years back, never again. The disgusting smell in the air of re-used cooking oil made me sick to my stomach. Not to mention how it penetrated my hair! Sometimes Knotts Berry Farm has the same smell something that never ever happens at the other two popular theme parks.
Hey Germ -- the cheese for the Mexi-street corn is Cotija cheese. Also needs that cayene pepper sprinkled on :)

I Always look out for this video 😂 funny asl when you review on my home town fair
What’s your thoughts is the end coming?
Very entertaining and fun to watch. Thanks for posting this.
@@TheKurtsPlaceChannel thank you watching. Glad you were able to enjoy it n

@thegerm574 would you say the dutchess or ulster county fair is better?

@@edde333 from what I just heard there’s a town meeting of what to do with the property. The fair might be coming to the end.
Like fairs, only thing I h8te is obviously no air conditioning. So hot, no relief from the heat, sun
That day wasn’t to bad. I get it though. The older you are the harder the heat treats you.
This fair used to be Amazing. They had the giant Indian statue. Metallica rocked the place in 1989 then 1994! What the hell happened?
@@ChrisrZ28 I remember the Indian I only saw it once and it was in very poor condition. They must of been removed.
I love the fairs it's dose stink going by yourself. Hey hit me up if you go again if our schedules work out.
The fair is so small 😢
Smaller every year.

I’ve had that same cup for over 10 years now. It’s kind of fun at this point to see how long I can go with it.
#1 good humor toasted almost bar #2 spider man pop with gumball eyes
@@Mechanicsonly both also good choices
Wish I had one of those N.Y. World's Fair lights. I Saw the Monkees there in 1986.
@@raymondcote2913 yeah they are cool. Hopefully if they close the grounds they know to save them.

Don’t forget this is the town the almost had Woodstock.
