Their new boss knows barely anything about automation but is really good at managing. Managing something isn’t always dependent on the skill of that thing. A lot of the time it’s just observing and making adjustments when needed. It's part of how I was able to move up within the store to be within almost all key management positions during that time.

It creates a cushion of liquid that is EXTREMELY easy to squeegee out. Just spray on, apply the decal (the decal can still be moved around because the solution is so slippery but still keeps the decal on the vehicle), then squeegee out once in position and it all comes out and sets perfectly with no bubbles. It allows you to do it very fast with no mistakes.

    A manager once tried to frame me for stealing from a salon. She was good, would come in off hours and steal on the shifts I had worked. She was whispering to the upper management in a way to make them suspicious, she wanted them to draw the conclusion themselves. She messed up one night, though, the last night she intended to steal, and go big. I was supposed to close, but had an emergency. I tallied everything with the other girl, everything was perfectly lined up, and I left, leaving her to work the last hour and close up. That manager came in and stole the entire deposit after hours, not knowing that I wasn't the last one there. The girl did an end of night count, so the total was right before I left, and an hour after I was gone. The only one who had keys for the access after that final count, was the manager. They involved law enforcement a week prior, which of course I didn't even know because I was the unknowing suspect. I had no idea. I didn't even know count was ever "off" she had told the girls early on not to tell me, that she planned on catching me good with charges, so she wanted me to continue.
    That final night, they still suspected me, and even thought the one girl might have been covering for me in some way. It was enough of a question mark though that they delved deeper and discovered her theft. Once they found out it was their manager all talk of prosecution was dropped and she was allowed to resign. I was their most educated, most requested stylist, and went on to be the most scheduled and most dependable. I went on to better things after a while though, because I didn't forget how they were complicit in trying to ruin me, before they ever even asked or did a modicum of investigation. Took the word of a manager who had already "caught" a thief previous, in just a year at her position. Mighty suspicious by itself if you ask me, theft isn't a common occurrence in any salon, much less a corporate one where every cent must be accounted for.

We had to retrain the new people after he left for the day because he told us that he took a course and he knows better than we do. She seems nice and not dogging her out; but this is a clear sign of the disconnect of corporate (desk jobs) and blue collar. I see why apprentice programs have disappeared. Corporate assumes the job is easy and you don’t need training because you don’t need a piece of paper to do the job, aka a degree. And because corporate has the final say they cut cost in proper training. I’m an air conditioning technician and it’s insane how little training there is. I even went to a union for a year thinking it would be better but it was no different. You have to have the passion for it and teach yourself. Then these companies are struggling to meet their minimum techs just to complete the calls because not enough new talent is entering the field and the good techs are having to run double for all the other techs that don’t have proper (self) training. It’s so frustrating

You have to remain, with muscles contracted in an uncomfortable position, and hold it for long periods, while using others muscles to apply pressure to the surface, while doing broad, sweeping motions and simultaneously apply pressure using the sweeping arm. It's like being in some kind of repetitive workout machine for 8 hours. The need for muscle control is what really does you in, because precision in your actions is an absolute requirement--You can't just close your eyes and push/pull, like heaving something.

The trick is to use a spray bottle with a drop or two of johnsons baby shampoo and water. spray the surface you want to apply the sticker to, then place the sticker on the wet surface, you can then slide the sticker/decal on the wet surface and line it up as you need, and then squeegee the sticker down. Much less stressful and you also get no air bubbles that way too. Always use the spray bottle with a few drops of baby shampoo, Works like a charm.

I watched that poor guy struggle with it and get the manager to come help. The manager would give him tips on how to do it and leave. He continued to struggle with it and you could tell it was stretched in places and wasn't ever gonna be flat. The manager did take over and tried to fix it best he could. It was interesting to see and I felt bad for the employee as he really was trying to do his best.

      @@rainfall7588 I don't know, but I don't think these type of stickers actually have any adhesive. Theoretically, it's just like your screen protector. The soapy water tensions the protector to the screen and aggregates any air, then you squeegee the water out, creating an air tight seal. Like suction cups on glass, notice how they're easy to stick if you clean down the glass, even have a little water on them to seal well. The same happens between two flat surfaces you squeegee the water out of. I presume the incompressible nature of water plays a role in creating a good pressure differential as it's squeegied out.

    I would bet good money most "bosses" would not be hired for their lowest positions, or at least keep it. They forget what the job entails, and have no idea how much more different it is now compared to when they did it (if they did at all). Every corporation should have their executives spend 2 weeks doing the grunt work at their company to keep it fresh in their minds on how difficult it can be, and get rid of that stupid "teenager" job mentality.
    A teen job is cutting a few lawns, or shoveling snow for the neighbors. These jobs make real profits for real corporations. These jobs are not charity. Therefore they are real jobs.

    • @certifiedfnhater4038
      @certifiedfnhater4038 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Wish they would. Then maybe they would see what they pay compared to what they ask you to do doesn’t match up. I did construction for ten years, and my boss was right beside me working every day. Once he left and his son was in charge I left. I don’t need a baby sitter who just talks to other baby sitters on site. Now I’m in a back room for a store unloading trucks but get asked to stock, help customers and the register, for 11 an hour. Yet every morning they tell us how much we made the day before. A slow day is 25,000 bucks.
      Sorry I just ranted on your comment but I agree with you. Tops ppl in companies should have to do grunt work to be reminded or to see what it is.

    I don't think its necessarily bad that she can't do the job properly. She's suited for managing the company and dealing with shit up top. That and the labor position are entirely different and neither can so easily fill the others role. I.e. you have a manager and you have an actor. The actor has the manager because they can't/don't want to deal with that side of the job, and the manager can't act. Totally different skillsets.

    First before I watch the video would like to point out something to all those never been a owner people out there.
    Being a good business owner had a set of skills it requires and almost NONE of those actually translate to being a good employee. As a owner your a idea person very macro thinking this is the idea this is how I'm going to get it from start to finish by these sequential steps and these steps can happen at the same time and then we can do this and that.
    Virtually none of these task will be done by the owner most will be done by other people they interview and determine to have the right skills (skills they don't have) for said task. This is called an employee and it's why you have a job. Precisely cause I as a owner know what I can and can't do delegate as many things as possible to others to keep me free for creative expansion
