Hey guys, another way to get the color really bright is to take the pots with the cabbage and onion peel (no egg) and have it sit in water overnight before boiling the next day...this way, the color is released prior to boiling and then you can also keep it there after you boil..for the complete effect. This should guarantee the color is bright and not just pastel.
I did it. It took a long time placing flowers, leaves, ferns (I'm a perfectionist) with non-complying pantyhose. But they are so beautiful and a nice calm craft to do. Thank you so much!
Very good ideia! You can alsoobtain clearer and darker shades of orange & brown, taking sooner some eggs from the bowl! So you gets also light yellow , orange and medium shade of brown. The last ones will be darker as you showed in video! Thanks! Happy Easter!
May I ask where you found the idea to use flowers in the hosiery??Tinier daisies and cilantro work very well. I remember doing this around 2012?? years ago with goose eggs! White eggs are difficult to find in Portugal.
Hello. This is beautiful and I would love to try it. Did you previously boil the eggs separately so that they were truly hard boiled ahead of time and still able to be eaten?
I've done this quite often with onion skins. The blue ones came out really great on your video, so I'm really excited to try using cabbage this year! Thanks for sharing the trick with refrigerating the eggs. I guess that would make the colours more vivid?
Ill just paste what I wrote above: another way to get the color really bright is to take the pots with the cabbage and onion peel (no egg) and have it sit in water overnight before boiling the next day...this way, the color is released prior to boiling and then you can also keep it there after you boil..for the complete effect. These are so so beautiful! Have popped on my Easter Craft play list :D You may like my DIY nest - my nest and your eggs would be a match made in heaven tee hee!
These are beautiful. The onion skin ones were beautiful! However, the cabbage ones didn't "take" the color. The eggs were from the same dozen, so I doubt if it was a coating on the eggs.
I find it ironic that the title says "natural ingredients" as if inferring that everybody should dye their Easter eggs like this instead of with not-so-natural store-bought food dye packets because the "natural" method is eco-friendly - tell me, what do you do with the now-ruined panty hose? You toss it into the garbage and it ends up in a landfill. Whereas the store-bought food dye packet is paper (at least in my country they are paper) and can be recycled no problem.

Absolutely gorgeous. I tried it, and my advice is to tie the nylon stocking very, very tightly if you want to see the detail.
Very good ideia!

This is how we do easter eggs in Romania 😊 the kids really enjoy the process and colours.
I love that the color is from foods and it is so rich.

So cool. My grandmother used to color eggs with onion peels.💜
In Romania we do this every year but we also make normal dyed eggs in colours such as red, green, yello and blue.
А с укропом и цветком календулы - это хорошая идея! Я всегда использовала молодые листики растений.
Да, вот только календулы у нас до середины лета не будет, а пасха - весной
What an inspiring way to dye Easter eggs. Thank You
Thanks for this! I made some beautiful eggs of my own following your technique. Happy Easter!
Wow amazing
I just made these, and the eggs are stunning! Thank you!
These are beautiful
How long do you boil them for? At the same time it would normally take to hard boil an egg or longer?
Afaik yes, but the "soup" takes a bit more separately
Beautiful and so simple! Thank you for a wonderful idea.
Thanks for sharing your ideas! 🌾🇰🇷👍👏

Hi! Does anyone know how to make the cabbage color stronger?
În Romania we use vinegar as a stabilizer.don't forget-do not stir the eggs!
@@paixiao7 Thanks! Maybe the problem was that I stirred them a bit

Hi. I did these today. Onion peel worked perfectly. However, the eggs colored with the cabbage were painted with very pale blue. Any advice? Thanks
