The solo in this song is pretty nuts, but I thought I'd give it a try- hopefully I didn't mess it up too bad. P.s. sorry about the bad lighting.

Thanks for the close up video for finger placement. This is EXACTLY what I was looking for. Other popular and straight ahead riff based metal like Priest, AC/DC etc., would be great for beginners like me...if you have the time, of course.

This is great. Most tabs have this one tuned to D standard, but why bother? E standard might make for tougher bends on the solo, but I love a challenge. Thanks for posting.
I actually learned the song that way, but realized there was no real reason to play it in D standard haha
Why? Maybe cause that's what the song was written in, and it doesn't pack the same crunch.. besides that, good cover
Dillon Kelley I prefer the way it plays and sounds in E standard, just an opinion I suppose.
Dillon Kelley if you play guitar, you know that tuning to D standard requires changing string gauge, setup and intonation. The song never goes below G. Unless you've got a dedicated D standard guitar, not worth the trouble IMO.

You seem to be playing it slightly differently from the Tabs I've seen online (not talking about your tuning in E rather than D, but the actual method) Is there any way you could put up your Tabs for this? I am in the process of trying to learn this.

Here's the Tab I've been using: www.songsterr.com/a/wsa/volbeat-the-devil-s-bleeding-crown-tab-s407644t0 Do you play section 12 and section 28 the same way as in this tab? I'm trying to learn it and those are the two spots I'm stuck on. Lol, I'd appreciate your input as you seem to have nailed it.
