The only thing missing was an electric outlet just next to the sewer in/outlets. It amazes me the filth you encounter. Great job, in crazy working conditions! I am completely amazed at the drainage systems you have to work with, and shards of glass , how !! I felt so sorry for the homeowner, so much of his stuff is ruined. Thank you Donald.
Good evening Donald. I haven't been able to view your post in the morning lately. Something to look forward to in the evening but I like starting my day with coffee and you.
I can see that back in the day they put water and sewer in the same trench, but over top of the clean out caps! I'm glad you were able to get it through the trap.
@@Grimmarox I don't think so. That sewerage flow was coming from the upper floors of the house and overflowing through the bowl because it was the lowest exit from the blocked pipes, not fresh water leaking from the flushing tank. They could have stopped flushing upstairs though.
I'm a little "lucky" in that my basement has a floor drain, so if a trap stoppage (or at least slow down) is starting to develop, it'll usually at least visually manifest there as some regurgitated water staining the concrete, or at worst it starts forming a pool of water. But either way, I've got that much buffer to realize the problem. These videos are a great reminder to check it regularly so it doesn't ever get this bad.
@@rupe53 Yes, it's attached to the main house sewer essentially opposite the trap on the other side of the house. So if that's backing up, it means the whole line under the floor to the trap is holding fluid. It's not a normal thing, it's an indication of trouble.
4:19 RIP my good and faithful light...😂 Seriously, I don't know how you stay so calm when presented with some of these pits in places so inaccessible. Good Morning, Donald, from the other side of the Hudson! In today’s video we have a basement floor flooded with sewage, a toilet 🚽 bowl full of poop 💩, golden nuggets on the floor, & corn 🌽 for Ratty 🐀. Another job well done, especially seeing how difficult it was to get to the clean out plugs on the u-trap. I guess the mindset when the house was to bury something they never thought they would need access to. Have a wonderful week, my friend!
If I came across stupidity such as a waterline in the way and glass in the muck and meyer, then that job would be $495.95 any Sewer or Drain! BS but as usual very good job Donald!
Why do these people insist on having such much rubbish stored in their places? Now all that stuff they’ve hoarded will have to be dumped. Good job as always 👏🏽👏🏽

My first question is. Why didn't they shut off the water behind the toilet?? That would have stopped all that am I correct??
@@Grimmarox That makes sense in todays senseless world.

@Grimmarox not necessarily, the main line was clogged, not the toilet. With tenets upstairs still using the water.
