@rithim dad well me my family and my Hindu friends have never felt any discrimination. In South Pakistan the Muslims are more familiar with us whenever we go to lahore for a break (2 weeks holiday) then people there assume we have came from India so they give us what we want to buy or eat from their shop for either a cheaper price or for free when we tell them we are just as pakistani as they are, it comes as a surprise to them. Many North pakistanis barely even know that there are hindus in Pakistan is well but that's nothing to do with intolerance. Yes there are rare incidents and yes due to such incidents/atricites many hindu families do migrate to India but that is only one side of the full scenario because there are more safe and happy hindus in Pakistan then unsafe and vulnerable hindus.

BD is a global leader in textiles and clothing/ wearable consumer goods. Here in US, we see all clothing mostly from BD, Vietnam and a small tiny portion from India. The Indians are living in perpetual la-la land and now reality is biting them. I wanted to set up a PV panel manufacturing unit in Bangalore. Nearest port is Chennai and the cost to make KWH is 2.28x Asia average. Who the hell will invest in India? land, licenses, transportation, lack of infrastructure, politics, Karnataka vs TN politics, zero incentives etc just a nightmare. To register a PV LTd takes 30 days - here in US to open a LLC or Corp is 24-48 hours!!! We set up our unit in Vietnam. Sad state of affairs.

By chance I watched some Indian political talk shows on tv and I was shocked. All they did was hindu-muslim nonsense, vilifying Bollywood and beating trumpet of the ruling government but no constructive criticism. Also, the media over all depicts different Bangladesh to average Indians which is completely devoid of realities. Per capita GDP of BD is going to be around 1900 USD, if not Covid19 pandemic, it would have been close to 2100. Just 10 years ago in 2010, BD's per capita GDP was 500-600 USD and now it's 3 times higher at 1900! And, we won't stop here! Our goal is to achieve per capita GDP around 10000 USD by 2030 by becoming a 1.5 trillion USD economy and per capita GDP around 25000 USD by 2040 by becoming a 3.75 trillion USD economy. We are already world leader in textile, ready made garments and emerging leader in finished leather goods and pharmaceutical products. To go to the next level, we are concentrating on manufacturing , pharmaceuticals and high end electronics manufacturing units. 100 special export processing zones are already being developed around the country specially for that and by mid 2021, Insha Allah, they will commence production. We currently export 40-45 billion USD/year, we'll export 200 billion USD in 2030 and 500 billion in 2040. We already have local investments as well as massive investments form Japan, US, Germany and China in these export zones. Due to covid19, it will be even bigger! So the ambitious goal is not so tough if you plan smartly and diligently. Even the social indicators are good too. Life expectancy, women participation in work force, literacy rate, women literacy rate etc indicators are higher than that of both India and Pakistan. Many might say, we're climbing ladders but it's not true. BENGAL (2/3 of its now Bangladesh) was the richest province among all provinces of Mughal India, Bengal's GDP was higher than those of many European countries combined, it was THAT rich! We are just reclaiming our past glory. Bangladesh is not perfect, it has many problems but we want to address those problems untied. Jingoism and religious fanaticism never pay any dividend. They destroy a generation's dream and they destroy a country. We know that. Sincerely hope, you Indians may understand that too. Good wishes!

Days to transport materials from UP or Bihar to ports: 10 - 15 days. Days to transport materials from any place of Bangladesh to ports: 1 - 2 days. That's 1 reason why investors are being attracted towards Bangladesh. South India & West India has cost lines that's 1 of the reason why they're more developed than North India. India needs to develop good transportation system just like China did because India is huge.

@rithim dad well me my family and my Hindu friends have never felt any discrimination. In South Pakistan the Muslims are more familiar with us whenever we go to lahore for a break (2 weeks holiday) then people there assume we have came from India so they give us what we want to buy or eat from their shop for either a cheaper price or for free when we tell them we are just as pakistani as they are, it comes as a surprise to them. Many North pakistanis barely even know that there are hindus in Pakistan is well but that's nothing to do with intolerance. Yes there are rare incidents and yes due to such incidents/atricites many hindu families do migrate to India but that is only one side of the full scenario because there are more safe and happy hindus in Pakistan then unsafe and vulnerable hindus.

By chance I watched some Indian political talk shows on tv and I was shocked. All they did was hindu-muslim nonsense, vilifying Bollywood and beating trumpet of the ruling government but no constructive criticism. Also, the media over all depicts different Bangladesh to average Indians which is completely devoid of realities. Per capita GDP of BD is going to be around 1900 USD, if not Covid19 pandemic, it would have been close to 2100. Just 10 years ago in 2010, BD's per capita GDP was 500-600 USD and now it's 3 times higher at 1900! And, we won't stop here! Our goal is to achieve per capita GDP around 10000 USD by 2030 by becoming a 1.5 trillion USD economy and per capita GDP around 25000 USD by 2040 by becoming a 3.75 trillion USD economy. We are already world leader in textile, ready made garments and emerging leader in finished leather goods and pharmaceutical products. To go to the next level, we are concentrating on manufacturing , pharmaceuticals and high end electronics manufacturing units. 100 special export processing zones are already being developed around the country specially for that and by mid 2021, Insha Allah, they will commence production. We currently export 40-45 billion USD/year, we'll export 200 billion USD in 2030 and 500 billion in 2040. We already have local investments as well as massive investments form Japan, US, Germany and China in these export zones. Due to covid19, it will be even bigger! So the ambitious goal is not so tough if you plan smartly and diligently. Even the social indicators are good too. Life expectancy, women participation in work force, literacy rate, women literacy rate etc indicators are higher than that of both India and Pakistan. Many might say, we're climbing ladders but it's not true. BENGAL (2/3 of its now Bangladesh) was the richest province among all provinces of Mughal India, Bengal's GDP was higher than those of many European countries combined, it was THAT rich! We are just reclaiming our past glory. Bangladesh is not perfect, it has many problems but we want to address those problems untied. Jingoism and religious fanaticism never pay any dividend. They destroy a generation's dream and they destroy a country. We know that. Sincerely hope, you Indians may understand that too. Good wishes!

There should be special industrial corridors so that investors would be attracted. Bangladesh is small that's why it takes maximum 1 - 2 days to transport materials. But India is huge.

Western media is better at covering India's problems than the Indian media
Before you start blaming the western media let me ask you why are you blaming the media for covering the story while not complaining to the government for not fixing the problem?

" Khargosh & Kachua" - this is one of the best lessons to learn. Also, Bangladesh has crossed GDP per capita this year, and maybe it will the next decade. But it still needs to improve massively on infrastructure, military might, poverty, literacy rate, environmental issues etc., it needs to develop a lot to reach where India being a larger country is right now. Another great lesson is to, not count your chickens before they hatch.
