"Luxury" and "pickup truck" just don't belong together. I love the simplicity of my 21'. The reason I switched from GM to Toyota is because I didn't want all the nonsense. I wanted big knobs, a reliable V8, and power windows. 2021 SR5 was my man.
My 2008 Crewmax 2wheel drive with the 5.7 ain't never seen 15mpg in almost 15yrs. This new truck is safer and more torque at a lower rpm. Even with the turbos, lower rpm's = less wear and tear. I have a feeling this new truck will prove to be just as reliable as my 5.7.
Mark, I’m getting 19.4 MPG. I also hear if I put the TRD air filters in that I could raise that .75 to 1.00 MPG. I never have hit over 20 MPG on this Capstone.
@@jonathandecker4850 CPU display. But I only have 1400 miles and I usually drive with a light foot to see how high I can get the MPGs. That’s about as good as I can get it. Urban driving and not much on the interstate highway.

Toyota: We got rid of the 5.7 V8 for the TTV6 to greatly improve MPG. Mark: I got 16 MPG in the Hybrid TTV6. LOL. What a freaking scam. I can get 16 mpg with my V8 5.7 Crewmax 4x4 with 35s, 3/1 lift and a roof rack with basket. We were blatantly lied to and mislead
@@arhamkhakwani5851 the more people put up with this crap, look the other way and "accept" it, the next Tundra will have a Turbo 4 cylinder. And yes, that is next
Thanks for the review. I haven't drove any of the new Tundra models but I wonder if Toyota would've kept the V8 and hybridized it, the Tundra would've more relevant.. A V8 hybrid I'd buy..
I own a capstone. You’re right on target with most of it I don’t think the Kapstone is a beautiful truck and I have the magnetic gray. I currently agree with you on the separation between the 1794 and the Kapstone as far as price but I love that truck. It’s the best truck I’ve ever owned. Having Fords Chevrolets all of them have an on the ram but I tell you the Toyota capstone is the most awesome truck I’ve ever owned. The only other car that I would add is that the air conditioning in the rear seat is not as strong as it should be but it’s still ample. I’m an older gentleman so I’d like to step down step off the truck because I use that a lot to get inside the truck so I am all for the automatic step down. But you’re right on target it’s a beautiful truck at rods great and there’s no other truck like it.
One of the comment is the power of the truck and the rod of the truck is awesome. You feel the power of the truck and the ride is it better than any other truck I’ve ridden in
By the way you’re only getting 16 miles per gallon I’m getting 21.7 with the way I drive. I don’t push it and I keep it on Econ most of the time but I’m getting great gas mileage out of that vehicle
I've been a fan of the 1794 model from day one, but just like that classic meme where the guy is looking at the girl walking in the opposite direction (you know the one)... hmm, Capstone? 🤔
I agree with you about the cost difference. I just don't see 10k VS the 1794. And the interior is better on the 1794 IMO. At least it has chocolate armrests, and not white. Also, the exterior chrome is NOT even chrome. It's painted silver. Yuck
I'm not sold on the Capstone. White interior on a truck? Tell us about the plastic inserts on the wheels. I agree that the look is cool. But $80K and 16 mpg? Nope for me.
capstone doesnt make sense at all. ever since they had it at the website, Ive compared the capstone with the 1794, and there is not much difference, Well there is ONE, you CANT get trd off road package with the capstone or platinum, but 1794 yes you can. I traded a 2019 SR5 for a 2022 limited, far improved in nearly every aspect, I can’t imagine how nice the capstone is
Capstone the best Tundra trim !!
Better then my old Limited too much difference I’m happy !!😊

Could you tell the diffference with the upgraded glass on the Capstone?
