Blocked kicks are exciting plays because (1) they don't happen that often, (2) the ball could literally go anywhere off of the block, and (3) they could really be game changers.
Being a Lions fan may to be to blame for why I never knew blocks happened this often. We never block anything, hell until this season we didn’t even block the other teams offense.
As a Cowboys fan, it's at least nice to have some col highlights from this season, since we did so poorly in the playoffs (which is fine because I don't believe we were superbowl contenders anyways). Our defense and special teams did a complete 180 from last season and provided a ton of highlight worthy plays.
The fact that you didn’t put the Eagles punt block on Carolina in week 5 is odd to me. That was a well executed special teams play that put the Eagles on top.
If you’re a Packer Fan you might wanna skip from 5:32 to 6:12 If you’re a Viking fan like I am you’re going to watch those 40 seconds on repeat for a long time lmaoooo
Maybe I'm dramatic but, fuuuck they have to dislocate their fingers, right!? The punter is already kicking the shit outta the ball and they're like 2 feet away from when they block it
So even though it was "blocked" it still went past the line of scrimmage so it's treated like a normal punt, then the Dallas player #25 touched it turning it into a "muffed punt" and the Broncos player recovered it making it their ball again
The recieving team (Dallas #25) touched the ball past the line of scrimmage, so technically it is a muffed punt, and the kicking team can recover the ball and retain posession, continuing the drive.
Um- you CAN kick it again 0:55-- announcers, refs, etc- nobody knows anything in the NFL. That play counted. Apparently you can't throw it twice but you CAN kick it twice.
Is it just me or do punters seem to move in slow motion when they kick? Some of these blocks could be avoided if they learned how to speed up their motion.
so i think i do. on a punt if the receiving team touches the ball past the line of skrimage but drops it or something and it gets picked back up by kicking team the kicking team keeps it. so since the punt was blocked but goes past the line and is touched by a dallas player but not kept by him when broncos come down with it they get to keep it
Basically it’s the same as a “muffed punt” once the receiving team touches the ball its live and if they other team can grab it than it goes to the kicking team
It makes you think, if you're on 4th down in or near the goal line. just go for it, because it's too easy to end up letting them score. Yo're giving up the ball either way
I think it would be awesome to be able to punt the ball at any time behind the line of scrimmage. get a quarterback that can kick, and it might be less risky to go for it on 4th. look for a pass, if nothing is there, roll out and punt.
My favorite is 5:37 cuz Joe Bucks voice goes 📈
“YOU CANT DO THAT!! That’s coming back!!” Hahaha that didn’t come back though!! Best play of the season. The legal double punt!!
Right, as long as the ball never traveled beyond the line of scrimmage they can kick it again.
It’s so satisfying hearing that loud boom when it’s blocked.
Don't forget that the double punt at 0:55 was actually legal and the commentators and the broadcast's rules analyst were wrong
Common Joe Buck L
Yea, I was confused by that as well, as long as it stays behind the line of scrimmage, he can kick again, kinda like passing.
Yeah but you can't throw the ball again unless you lateral it and get back behind it
We all gotta give more recognition towards our team’s special teams.
Unless you’re the packers
@@hungry5881 Ok yes except the Packers
@@hungry5881 packers gotta give recognition…just negative. They gotta recognize how bad they were, and recognize how badly a change is needed.
Except for us. Embarrassing
Special needs
The sound of a blocked punt is wonderful
Its sad to see your home team or team that you cheer for get there punt blocked

In the case of the 49ers' playoff game vs. the Packers, it was (3).
AKA Washington Football Team kicks getting blocked compilation

what in the world were the Texans doing
Honestly no one knows anymore 😂
As a basketball player and fan, this is my favorite play in football: the block!
as a packers fan you don’t want to know how much i contemplated before clicking on this video
Same, I really hovered and asked myself if I really want to submit myself to this
Dallas' special teams was just too good
They also had a pint return ,there special team is good
The fact that you didn’t put the Eagles punt block on Carolina in week 5 is odd to me. That was a well executed special teams play that put the Eagles on top.
The 49ers ice block was a gift from the one above
I liked the part where they blocked the punt
If you’re a Packer Fan you might wanna skip from 5:32 to 6:12
If you’re a Viking fan like I am you’re going to watch those 40 seconds on repeat for a long time lmaoooo
And the Vikings fans gonna skip the rest of the video, for not remind the historical punter/kicker issues...
Mike & Troy are the new comedy sensation.
How could mike be wrong? He’s the rules expert. 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
A couple of the field goal attempts looked like the kick was low, that the kicker kicked the ball into the backs or heads of his own linemen.
I love the cameras getting juked lmao
Maybe I'm dramatic but, fuuuck they have to dislocate their fingers, right!? The punter is already kicking the shit outta the ball and they're like 2 feet away from when they block it
Blewit Blew It!!!
Granted I'm not a kicker, but I don't get why some of these guys hold the ball for so long
That cowboys vs broncos one still confuses me
So even though it was "blocked" it still went past the line of scrimmage so it's treated like a normal punt, then the Dallas player #25 touched it turning it into a "muffed punt" and the Broncos player recovered it making it their ball again

Only the Dallas cowboys can block a punt and still give the other team a first down
It still makes me mad since it wasn’t taken past first down
Best block punt … I’m a packers fan and please hold my fucking beer
0:22 I LIKE YA CUT G!
Issac punts would be disappointed
I’m ready for a 12 minute Packers montage
That one guy from the commanders really blew it if yk what I wan
Can anyone name the music at 8:59?
Most of these punters that are getting blocked are stepping one or two many steps
I agree.
At 3:06 is something unrealizable that you have to listen twice to understand
A blocked Punt is performed to get great field position. Or got a Touchdown
Nice
Whatever happened to the 1-step Punter?
Um- you CAN kick it again 0:55-- announcers, refs, etc- nobody knows anything in the NFL. That play counted. Apparently you can't throw it twice but you CAN kick it twice.
Eagles vs panthers, there was a blocked punt you missed
@00:48 Is that punter a soccer player?
Hmm I think hes a football player, seeing he's in the NFL
@@keezay3471 I mean, he just randomly falls down
@@tehbing well your "joke" fell flat
@@keezay3471 k, glad to have your input
At 8:10 Blewitt blew it.
I guess that's why he's called that
The cardinals are so pathetic lol our only blocked kick and it still went 50 yards down field
Love your video
The Texans punt doesn't look like it was blocked, seemed like it hit the back of the head of one of his own players.
They brought in a guy they pay to know the rules to talk about the double punt and dude just completely made up shit saying it's illegal 🤣🤣🤣🤣
NE had a lot of punts blocked this season it looks like lol
Pain
Still crazy how the double kick is legal
Still wondering how #1 packers lost to a California beach volleyball team that had neither a offensive or defensive point scored.
Two field goals?
12:23 we gon ignore the ball spinning after the block
You missed the eagles blocked punt vs Carolina
Is it just me or do punters seem to move in slow motion when they kick? Some of these blocks could be avoided if they learned how to speed up their motion.
Ok can someone explain the Cowboys blocked kick vs the Broncos. I don’t get it.

For the cowboys it was just horrible bad luck for it to happen on a block punt
The Washington kicker has a very unfortunate last name 😄
At 0:55 he said you can advance the ball twice
I’m sorry at 1:13
Hi bye
Lmao just love how Buck, aikman, and the so called “analyst” don’t even know the rules on the Seahawks one
He’s not an analyst, num nuts, he’s the rules expert.
@@sludge4125and he was wrong as he usually is.
Washington's kickers are not having a good time
Missed eagles panthers blocked punt

WTF are you taking about?
Wow
49ers-Rams?
NO MUSIC thanks
Can we get coaches getting ejected?
The Patriots had 3 of them🤦
Blewitt. And His failed attempts to make his surname the least memorable aspect about him

You already can, num nuts.
Brady has punted before.
Still salty about the bs offsides call on the Steelers blocked fg vs Green Bay
First good vid bro
I feel like that NFL players are getting more lazier and lazier
