My family and I went to see Toy Story 4 and I was pretty sure one of the characters was modeled after the Chatty Cathy doll and it was. I find it amazing how you restore all of these dolls. I was wondering what the doll in the back with the pink polka dot outfit was called. I believe my sister had one of those.
my Chatty Cathys sting came undone when I was young and went inside, I was told I had to cut her open. I actually met the engineer who made the talking part of the doll for Matel he told me its his wifes voice that you hear.

The sad thing was, my mother had just bought me one , I was 7yr at the time and my friend was at the house.....before i got to open the box my friend had ballanced the box on her head then dropped it.....my poor Rosebuds head never went on properly again😳
i didnt see and answer for the chemical used to reseal her body.i have a 59 in the box, and a 65 singin chatty i was about to look into fixing. where do i get the proper sized o-ring?
You won't get a reply because this video is really old, I think it is a cream. I'd try magic erasers on ink stains first, because I had really good results with it.
I have one Chatty Cathy doll and she is not talking except for a few sounds and a lot of growls. I would love to get her fixed and look like new but I'm afraid I would mess her up... do you know a different way to make her talk again? Thanks!
So in order to restore the dolls she has to dunk them in boiling water and pop their eyes out!... hooff! a horror show for the other dolls waiting in line 2b restored! yikes! beauty is pain!
